Hey,
When I turn my steering all the way to one side, when its almost to full turn, i hear a knock from whichever side i am turning to, so if i turn the wheel all the way to the right, i will hear a knock from the front right suspension.. this happens when im going very slow, or im stopped.. does anyone know what this could be? |

My coilovers do this... and if you get close/watch them as your turning, they may be binding slightly or something similar...
Edit: your springs may be doing something similar.. This post has been edited by mark_426: Oct 16, 2005 - 5:56 PM -------------------- If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.

this was discussed recently steering noise several ideas were tossed around, i believe what you are describing is the same thing. the current issue of popular mechanics has an article explaining possible causes of car noises. that article says clicking when turning sharply is due to worn out ball joints. but im still trying to figure out what is causing it in my car.
-------------------- ![]() I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. |

my car didn't do that when my cv joints/axles were bad, but it does that now because my lowering springs are binding

i've had my springs for.... 3-4 weeks now. i dunno why they're binding. i think they're not quite sitting properly yet, and my shocks are leaked out too... everytime i go over a bump my shocks bottom out, and it's loud. i'm workin on getting new ones, just don't have the cash at the moment.

could be possible that yer skocks are out, but you deffinantly dont have those springs on right. like i said, it happended to me and it sounded like my shocks were bottoming out, too but it was just the unproper installation of the strut mounts. ......took me forever but i finally got them on right. |
