In 4 weeks my car goes into the shop (the best, most expensive shop around) But he's giving me a sweet deal. As most of you know i live in canada, where there's snow... where there's snow... vehicles rust (from sand/salt on the roads). Yeah, my car has rust. But when he fixes it, it's got a lifetime guarantee on it. So if it ever rusts again, like 10 years down the road, he'll still fix it for free. That's how all his work is... if anything goes wrong, lifetime guarantee. He's amazing. It's costing me $2000 including tax... and i'm going acura tl white diamond pearl. I'm happy!! biggrin.gif too bad it won't be in time for the calendar though frown.gif oh well maybe next year

$2000 canadian? That doesn't sound bad at all if t has a lifetime guarantee. That's right at $1700 US which sounds pretty good for rust repair and life time warranty.

Time for me to start preparing for the same. I still need to buy two junkyard doors because mine are being eaten away by rust. frown.gif Other than maybe a used 94-95 stock front end I'm going to be doing the same one I have just a little more money to fall back on.

Good luck with the paint job, it definately pays to have somebody to it right.

As a suggestion, disassemble your car as much as possible before taking it in -- or make sure he'll do it.

The fewer parts on the car, the fewer seams available to mess up that beautiful new coat with ridges...

oh, trust me... he'll do everything imaginable. he's so amazing. his latest project has been painting actual fire. not flames... but like, painting "fire" onto a vehicle, that when it drives past you, it looks like it's on fire. it's soo awesome.

i'll try to find a pic of the color.

Yeah, it is the same as the rsx-s, and the 01 preludes... it's a sexy color, especially with bronze wheels (yes i know mine are just factory's painted bronze) but i must say, i love the factory wheels smile.gif, i just need to repaint them.

sounds good, i paid the same price for my paintjob with a life time warrenty. But my problem is im 2 cheep to buy a winter beater, so im plannin on gettin my car sand blasted on the bottom next week and then gettin like 6 layers of under coating sprayed back on. I took alot of it off over the summer and at school(stupid high speed bumps. You would think at a school thats 95% automotive they would relize they should have lower bumps). But yea, sounds goood krysten, i cant wait to see it when its done.

i don't have to buy a winter car... my fiance has a pos that he drives in winter and lets me borrow whenever he doesn't use it, and my parents are always leaving the house at the same time i go to work, so i can always get a ride with them if i want. i'm parking my car after it's painted though, i'll drive it home... into the garage, and then it'll sit there til March probably... damn that sucks, i'm gonna miss driving it frown.gif
