Hey everyone, I've wanted to customize lights for a long time. The time has come. As of right now I will be producing a customized light that is a lot cheaper than a JDM light. I can even use your stock lights to save on pricing. The first set will include a black housing, angel eyes, and a polished lense. Prices aren't set yet due to fees, but how appealing is this item? And if you got them, what would you like done to your set? here's a few pics of the black housing itself without a polished lense, but keepin mind the lense will be clear... Would you want the lows done the same way? What is everyones thinking? Criticism is openly accepted. I am looking for ideas.

Within a week I will have the first pair entirely done minus the clear lense. At this point the lenses will be gone and awaiting the work being done. WHen you say fitted... as in the set up, or in the actual car?

to figure what the market will bear you need to throw a number out there, based on the responses you need to judge what level of profit you're looking for and how many you're looking to move.

You'll lose customers with a cheap price because it's a cheap product and you'll lose customers with an expensive product. It's your job to find the median. As far as pics go, I would have to see pics of them installed day and night.

People might also not want to low-ball your work so as not to insult you, if you want to break it down into materials cost and labor hours spent I could give you a reasonable figure, but I suppose If I was a good businessman I would keep that to myself to maximize profit...

his looks different than yours doggy, it looks like he used a completely different material for the black housing.

Dustin, if the lenses are going to be clear, maybe we could just see them fitted w/out lenses?

are we talking about the high beams or the lows? because the low beams on doggy's look completely different from any of the ones that dustin posted.

also are you only customizing the highs? or are you doing the lows as well? I guess I'll just have to see the finished project

Well custom head lamps are always plus to the car, hey Dustin15brown do you mind if I make a suggestion . . . biggrin.gif
Yes angel eyes are nice to have when your driving around in Bimmer's
but yet those angel eye rings are type ghetto (The way they light up with 2 L.E.DS at the end or a bright light shining though) unless you spend about $100 ~ $200 getting Phosphyre Halos. ->
user posted image
So why not make an angel eyes with L.E.D it self, looks of the Celcia head lights seems like there is enough space on them to fit about 25 ~ 30 or less L.E.Ds like this ->
user posted image
It might be more work but I think it's worth the time & the look of the car rather then using those Reg. Angel eyes.
Good Luck biggrin.gif

What about the fact that the ridges in the lens are for angling the light? I don't think Doggy had a problem because he put BMW projectors in the place of the regular bulb, or something like that. This will really cut down on the effectiveness of your lights. That lens is also chrome colored to help reflect light so that the high beams are brighter. I know some people don't care about seeing after night if they can look cool, but I just thought I'd through that out there.

Sorry bulldog, but I am confused...... The ridges are staying there.... and the piece that is now black was never chrome to reflect the light.... it was simply silver.... and as far as I know, this will not change anything of the effectiveness of the lights.... Romas' did the LOWS and turned them into PROJECTORS..... I am simply doing the highs, clearing the lense and blacking out the housing without effecting the lighting.... I will try to offer projectors in the future... But I have no experience nor the time right now to figure it out.
