East Coast Meet, woot Options

There's not too much interest in the west coast for a cental meet. So an east coast meet is more ideal. Here is what I have in mind.

If we can get at least 20 people interested, we could have a meet in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and rent this sweet ass house for a weekend.

Now, if you read.. it sleeps 20 people.. and if we can get 20 people it would only be around $22. It also has a pool, a pool table, and it's basically secluded.

The debate is.. spring or summer? I think summer would be better.. those who are in school would be out of school.. and it would be nice and hot to go for a dip in that pool!

I'm definitely in. Who else?

All of the beds will be first come, first serve. But obviously if you are bringing your significant other, you should at least be able to have a queen or a double. So it is sensible if you are coming by yourself to claim a single bed.

Man, I dout I'd be able to meet up since I'll be needing the vacation thime the next month for the wedding anniv. It's funny though since we'll also be going to tenn!

I need to meet up with some fellow celica enthusiast. There are to many honda people around here with cocky attitudes, and the few that don't don't know anything about the celica

I have, though, found some people from the mr2oc forums that live here in the same county as me, so I'm trying to at least meat up with them. ( It's funny because I even work @ the same place and shift as them and didn't even know it.)

I'm in for an East Coast meet. I would probably only need a single bed, one less guest means one more car. But I agree with Summer being best, but somebody would definately have to organize things to do if it were being held over three days.

If people are going to be staying at a hotel.. there's no point for me to even try to organize this meet. I thought renting a cabin for a weekend would be fun..

NC sounds a lot better to me. Even SC or GA AL or FL. The cabin idea sounded good to me at first but now it sounds more like an MTVs Real World. I thought it was going to be a Celica meet. I honestly think it's cool to bring others because if it was that far and everyone was bringing someone, I would bring someone too just so the ride won't be boring. But when we have a Celica meeting here in Miami, most of the time it's just the drivers that show up and in my opinion, we have a better time than when people bring others because the people that came alone feel left out or whatnot. And when it's just the drivers there, everyone is interested in talking about the same thing and interested in the Celicas. Just my two cents. No need for flaming if you feel differently because I understand many do. But I'll still go but I'd rather stay at a hotel too.

Ya. It would be awsome to be three days. I'll leave fri morn to get there. and then have to leave sun morn to get back. It's a 15 hr drive from where i'm at.. But I'm down if we can get more people to go. And maybe bring it in the middle of TN.

And i also will be bringing my women. But she loves talking about my celica, and other nice imports as well. So It's all good

i'm down for a celi meet in the summer... but lets centralize this a bit more... make it and easier drive for the people further up north... and lets see if we can book a whole floor in a hotel for the weekend ... we have a long time to plan this.. so lets try to cover ever detail ... and start a list of people who are 100 percent willing to go ...then when we have a good amount of people start collecting money to get some hotel rooms...

Yeah right... the Real World 6GC? I'm still trying to understand the point of this meet if a lot less than half the people here will bring their 6GCs to the meet. I understand that most are incomplete or whatever, but if it's driveable and you can go to the meer then I would still like to see the car. IMO, the purpose of having a 6GC meet is to have 6GCs present.
