I am running a 55 shot of nitrous, and i was wondering what kind of spark plug gapping i should have. Right now i am running NGK iridium spark plugs, but when i hit the nitrous my car sputters, kind of like the nitrous is putting the spark out or something...Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Did you check the gapping to make sure its at least where it should be?
I dont think its your gapping really you might be using plugs which are running to hot when you spray. I would suggest a colder running plug and some higher octane especially if your going to be spraying alot.

MR2 friend of mine runs Nitous on his 5S very often and according to him you need a different kind of plug - not Irridium.
I just talked to him and he says:
-Get Platinum Plugs and gap them to .032
-Do not run a dry system (He says this is most likely your problem - not enough fuel for air)
-Do not spray below 3K RPM starting with 2nd gear and let off during shifts.
I trust this guy very much - he knows 5S's and Nitrous very well.
Hope this helps.

you are running lean and what you are feeling is probably timing retard do to detonation. if you keep using the nitrous, its only a matter of time before the motor cant take it anymore.

take out your sparkplugs and take pics of them to post here. their color will tell you exactly whats going on.
