Well thats great that you are keeping that car instead of selling it. It's so nice. And by the way them 2 are the only two i know for sure. cause the t3/t4 turbo doesn't bolt streight on i don't think there is modification to them.

O and the burien toyota turbo set up.

Well i remember hearing about a direct bolt up turbo. its like $1300 buy an actual brand name ie. greddy hks ect. maybe im mistaken. as for the t3/t4 they can bolt up fine with an adapter plate to the mani but to the dp is a different story.

speedsource i think was the name of the place that was making a turbo for the 3s john, i remember reading about it over on mr2oc.
they ARE out, but not much info has been posted about them because they could never produce solid dyno info to go with them.
if your looking for a straight bolt on to the stock 3s manifold, your pretty much stuck with a ct-20b, which you'll get with an unknown amount of miles/wear, or the ct-27.
jgreenings source for the gt-28rs setup looks REALLLLLY promising, and has some MAJOR kick, without going too overboard IMO.
fabrication seems 1st rate, which to me is MOST important.
gimme a call man, we need to hang out and go over our plans for the winter! biggrin.gif

yeah man. we definitely do. That gt-28rs does look mighty amazing.
Where can i get an adapter plate for that turbo. that way i can use the manifold i have now.
thats all i really want anyway. is to be able to use my manifold. the Dp isnt so important.
im making a list of things i need/want
550cc injectors. (seem fine?)
turbo - kinda need one of those.
and i think i need a new Ic i ruined mine smile.gif
oh and a walbro pump.
but yeah. we need to get together soon i wanna chill with "teh Jdm"

Speed-source (Carl Crawford) did my work. The GT28RS kit is bolt on but includes an adapter and downpipe. If you are talking about the aftermarket turbos that need no adapter and downpipe, that would be The Speed Factor. They have three versions that sell for $1350 and do not include an aftermarket downpipe (which can be sourced for approx $200-$350) Not much information has been posted about those turbos.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

One of the members put up everything you need for a turbo convertion also there is a how to (but for the 7afe).
Is the GT turbo that massive one from Missubisa (cant spell it). Cos they r big, i was wondering if you could put that on a celica.
After everything ive read over the years i dont think you can get a stright bolt on turbo you need a custom made manfiod inless its a GT4.
maybe im wrong.
Yep turbo is very appealing.
Could someone make a list of turbos you could get for a celica and maybe the output power bhp? is it poss
