Let's do this SoCal 6gc Owners and others willing to make the trek.

With Urbandorks unsuccessful little meat... I mean meet and Lew's mini-meet with undercooked hot dogs and overcooked buns not to mention the burnt fingers, lets end this year in style with a great successful meet!
FYI: This is not a vote. If you have suggestions, please PM me. I do not want this thread to turn into a discussion/ arguement about this meet.



SoCal End of Year Meet Info

Where: Super Autobacs (Beach & 22 Freeway)

What: Socal 6gc End of Year Meet

Here are a minimum of the things I'm hoping would happen:
1) Lunch at Red Robins (gormet burger joint in same plaza). Lunch for each person should be under $10.00 with a drink.
2) Spend an hour or so browsing Autobacs for those of you that live a little far, might as well since we're there!
3) Cruise down Beach Blvd to PCH. (5-10 miles, 4-6 Lanes)
4) PCH Cruise up to Long Beach all the way back down to Newport Beach, taking some driving videos with someone standing on the side of the road somewhere along this stretch.

My Goal... Try to squeeze all this stuff in as early as possible to maximize our daylight. This will yield better pictures and vids.

When: Saturday Decebember 17, 2005 @ 11:30am sharp!

Who: All 6gc Members and their friends

Why: Because we love our 6gc and we need to end this year with a good meet...

Well the meet starts at 11:30am as is... that's pretty early for a weekend so there really isn't a pre-meet meeting spot. Everyone should be at Autobacs at 11:30am.

The meet is in a couple days, I have some questions for you guys.

Pre-meet Questions:

1. Does anyone have 1-2 mile range walkie talkies or should we just use our cell phones?

2. Are you guys feeling Red Robin or should we hit up a fast food place like In and Out which is on the way to PCH. Usually with 10+ people paying for one tab at a sit down restaurant can be a pain in the a**.

3. I'm thinking about making name tags with people's 6gc screenname, I already have the Avery labels, yay or nay?

4. Someone needs to bring a good digital camcorder to record drive bys of us down PCH and upload it.

Name tags are dorky yet good idea. At another meet i actually went to a office depot that was close to get some. It helped with the embarassing moments.
Just make sure we take them off half way and when we are taking pix lol

Ok guys, we're gonna meet at Autobacs at 11:30am sharp. We'll try to find an area where we can all park together.

Once most people are there, we'll browse autobacs a little, chat or whatever and then have lunch around 12:30-1:00. The reason I recommended red robins is because it shares the same parking lot. So it's walking distance away.

So I was just pondering about what we can do for the month of January and came up with the idea of having a Mt. High Meet. We can get a group of us to go snowboarding/skiing or for those of us who are broke, we can just jump on the side of the mountain off the road somewhere and go sledding and have snow ball fights or whatever you do in the snow. I think that having our cars there in the snow would be great for photo ops. I think Mt. High is the closest place b/c Big Bear would be a tad bit far. Let me know what you guys think. Jan 22nd was the date I had in mind, its on a Sunday and hopefully that would be better for some people. We can negotiate and discuss more on this....please give me some feedback.

u northern cali peeps are closer to the tahoe meet than us So Cali folks. I highly doubt you'd cruise down to the southern cali area just for a meet anyways...some ppl said Mt. WoW Looks like i should have showed up.. Im just not cool anymore. Ive been spending all my time and money on my 300 Z and it recently got impounded. I get it out today. but ive been driving the celi around and as slow and annoying front wheel drive is I still love it... I mean if it didnt have an exhaust leak bald tires and a ecu problem id prolly love it much more ehh. Nice cars guys maybe i will show up again to one of these events yall be holding!
