I like that car a lot. The styling is great. Can't say I care much for the yellow steering wheel. I wonder how this thing would run. It would be neat to see how it preformed compared to a 3sgte.

Now this is a cool car. The silver box definitely houses the intercooler. The question is whether its a w/a or a makeshift sidemount a/a. And, Randy, I think your right - he probably meant 0.4 bar. The positive pressures that cars will tolerate with superchargers are typically much less than they will with turbos due to the fact that they are so ineffficient. Well, except for the twin screw....
If anyone thought my wheel spin was bad, try a ride in this mofo. Can you say 200+ ft lbs at 1500 rpm????? -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

I believe so. Can't get any more pictures but it has a eaton M62 Supercharger and a GT40 Turbo barrel charge cooled, relocated alternator.

build by Suprasport My previous car served as kind of a mock-up on this beauty to see if it would all fit. Powersteering got discarded and replaced with an electric ps from a sw20 mr2
that car is for sale by the way......somewhere in the low 20000 range (in euro's) -------------------- JDM ST205

no, it's not my car. When Arnout was building the engine, my car was in his shop for an engineswap. he did some testfitting and measuring on my car.
The owner of the car hardly drives it, guess that's the reason for selling -------------------- JDM ST205

i make 1.9 bar in first gear XD Yeah, but 1.3bar for a supercharger is crazy. For a turbo 1.9 isn't incredibly high; not knocking your engine (no pun intended), just that this supercharger seems over the top. -------------------- '97 ST \ Eibach \ KYB \ Kenwood \ Alpine \ Cusco \ OEM+ [sold 10/18]

really? you bumped a thread thats almost 6 years old! ULTIMATE BUMP! I've been talking to the builder of this baby. ![]() running over 600bhp at just 1.3 bar boost at 2krpm with no Laaaaaaahhhhhhg ![]() Whats the point in all this can anyone tell me? in a celica??? is it some drag car or a rally/race car, what? If you want response AND big power at the same time are you really going to sacrifice upsetting the handling with all that weight in the already front heavy understeering plow throughing chassis for the sake of it? Would it not be smarter to adjust his engine management, mechanical tuning and his own driving to suit a big turbo setup? Obviously this guy had more dollars than sense in trying to twin charge a celica. It wont help him drive faster around a circuit, the response isnt needed for a drag race when you have a clutch to drop. All im saying is... you gotta be nuts to wanna build this car... not saying it isnt gonna be stupidly fast, and loose on those 4 wheels, but i see it could be achieved better with more conventional ways with the sort of money invested in that car, wouldnt you rather see some next level antilag? and by anti lag i mean the one with the external combustion chamber and the fancy jet turbine engine sh*t that keeps ur turbo spooled whatever whenever, not the sh*tty little rev limiter bang bang trick -------------------- Mike W

the start of the thread with the front wheel celica and the "Plus Z" thing is a cool little way to add pep to a grocery gogetter
but this highjack with the twin charging, i see way more dollars than sense -------------------- Mike W

I have an extra 3rd gen 3sge laying around and might just supercharge it for the hell of it. Just cause it would be different.. now twin charging just sounds like a waste of money compared to a anti lag set up which your going to get more out of..
