I absolutely love NA horse power. But I awd is a bigger passion of mne. I vote GT-4, even if everyone has one. Not everyone has one with 400hp. That's how you be unique.

I'd say get the SS-III.

I kinda realized alot of ST guys like the NA power vs. GT guys who like the AWD Turbo power.

How many ST205 GT-Fours have you seen in NZ - especially compared to EVOs and GTRs for example? And how many seriously modded GT-Fours here too? Could probably count them on one hand. They are not that common which is why I like owning one. It's different biggrin.gif

What I mean't is in other countries people always put in GT-FOUR motors or want to import GT-FOURS. Yeah GT-FOURS are quite rare in NZ. There are lots of beams ones around coming in from the dealers at pretty good prices and also private sales I don't know what makes them rare. There was a GT-FOUR at a dealer with the spoiler removed that looked horrible and how could anyone remove that trademark wing.

Go SS III mate !

GT 4's are good, but not all that when yoou put them next to a Evo or scooby !!

but the Beams in a FWD is one hell of a car smile.gif (as long as it's not auto!!!)
and you won't get all the stress from the boy racers at the lights.....

GT-Four.

But then again, Gary and I might just be biased wink.gif

and actually they aren't that common, there's only 5000 real GT-Fours worldwide...

There are a lot more than 5000 GT4's mate, the one 6GC with a bit of rareity is the WRC model, of which 2,500 were built.
For me I would go GT4 every time over the SSIII as it has the total package and ticks every box
Power - check
Speed - check
Handeling - check
Stopping -check
4WD - check

Youve got to remember a lot of the ST205s - mine for instance - will be 12 years old this year and for their age are fantastic. Yes there are alot of newer models that can match and beat the 4 but if it was still in production today, would get my money yet again.
I maybe a little biased as an owner but I call it as I see it smile.gif

Ehmmm maybe some owners trying to compare Evo 7-8-9 and WRX 7-8 with ST205 of 1994-1999!!
Its hard for a Mitsubishi or Subaru owner to discover that Mitsubishi or Subaru just release a version newer than the one he is having now.....smile.gif

well in that case mate, i'd have the SS III

cause with the fun i've not been having trying to keep an AWD on ice covered road
this winter..... when you start to slide you can try putting you foot down in to a nice power slide
but once you go, really go.......

in the summer biggrin.gif

I recon a high powered FWD, 6 year old Celica would be the catch of the month mate

what's the milage on the two cars ??

The part what the ovner of the "4" isnt only telling how his ccar is good and etc..

yes, the "4" is good thing, good looking and etc - but stupidly overpriced (IMHO). SuperStrut makes it even more complicated... Not counting CT26... Im working with lots of rally guys who Prepare / work / drive cars what are Turbo and AWD. I test drove / drove GT4 - All track and FOR ME this is not the car what i would want (i would LOVE to have a combo of a ST202 + 3SGTE engine and brakes from the "4" and LSD tranny).

This is just my opinion, and as much as i love all Celicas, but im not what "crazy' about the "4".. Maybe im just scared of the hastle what Turbo / AWD car could bring... And maybe im not what Rich to handle all the hastle??

This IS JUST MY opinion - all this based on MY experience with this car, and im not TRYING to make a statment here.

To be fair, if high running / maintenance costs scare you then the 4 isnt for you as it can be crippling to run/repair bearing in mind they are getting long in the tooth.
Mine has cost me £25 in necessary repairs (broken thermostat) in the last 12 months but I can also show you people whove spent over £5,000 to keep their cars on the road this year.
Im sure which ever one you do decide on, itll rock your world and become the love of your life smile.gif

I would have to agree with everyone else and say gt4, but which ever one you like. both have their advantages and disadvantages, fewer with the gt4 though. Peace.

I'm very in love with cars, so I feel the need to move somewere were I can get ahold of some good ones. The GT-4 would be nice, but we don't get very many high end sports cars here. Cheaper ones at least. We don't get some of the expensive ones either though. TVR for example.

The main thing is to get used to the BOOST first. It already has an Apexi ECU with FC Commander also sports Exhaust...But one question i have to ask is what is this behind the front grill...
Its like a little jet with a rubber hose attached which goes down the side of the washer bottle reservoir...?

Water sprayer for the WAI pre-rad. Probably activated by the headlight washer switch on the dashboard.

In its current state, it is probably not at all effective. A properly set up system will help reduce inlet temps but that won't do much IMHO.

Re-read my post and you'll notice that I said 'properly set-up' system will help reduce temps. The one magnum has there is not 'properly' set up.
I have a Cusco water spray controller currently on its way from Japland to use in conjunction witha custom set-up I'm going to be using.

And what do you mean by '20ish bhp'? Either it made 20hp or it didn't rolleyes.gif Assume that the test was done back-to-back at the same session with no break in between - ie run without spray and then run with? Otherwise it is meaningless.
