Ok guys i went to pepboys and bought this to weld to my oil pan
what do you think? Its made for a 3/4" hose its 1-3/4' long and the thread is 1/2" NPT. is it too small? ![]() Then i went to Ace hardware and bought 2 TEEs a nipple and plug and some thread seal tape. they had no crosses. but its all 1/8" Npt so what i'ma do is buy a male 1/8" BSPT to male 1/8" NPT and a male NPT to female BSPT. and everything should work out. ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by southwest2118: Jan 22, 2006 - 4:43 AM |

i didn't even bother with the bspt adapter i took a 1/8" npt and it screwed right in. no problems with leaking at all.

why all the diffrent fittings??
just so you know, brass is about the worst thing you can use for those types of application, it is very weak and WILL crack. if all that stuff is what i think it is (turbo oil feed) then you need to take all those back where you got them from, and get this: http://tunertoys.zoovy.com/product/OTODK its got the proper thread pitch for the head and allows you to keep your stock pressure switch. the return needs to be 3/4" ID -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

who cares if its too late.
so, you wasted money, you might as well just do it right the first time instead of using all these different fittings that can be avoided, plus like manny said, brass is not the best for those types of applications |

QUOTE too late buddy remember that statement when one of those crappy fittings crack, drain all your engine oil in a matter of seconds, and blow your motor to a bunch of nice sized paper weights -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
