Right, so I'm sorting out my agreed value insurance (thanks Sky), and I'm just totting up how much I've spent on this car over the past couple of years.

Dear.
Holy.
God.

<stands up> Hello, my name is Mr E and I have a problem</stands>

Somewhere in excess of seven grand. Of parts alone. There will be another 3-4 grand of labour.

I think some of us need a twelve step program to break out of the car modification addiction.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

I try not to overkill my spending. I am trying to save up so I can move out, so my spending has been slowed. All I want as of now are some Coilovers and Swaybars, and then I think I will be done for a while. I have about 4K saved up to move out, but dear god are apartments pricey in my area... 695/month for 1bd/1ba... thats like.. almost a paycheck!

I agree, that looks great on a convertable. Good find. smile.gif

My problems run deep in modding also.....I'm pretty sure that by now I've spent close to what I bought the car for in modifications, but I'm looking to double or triple that number by this year.

I figure since I'm in a good financial position and am working more hours and don't have a car loan to pay, why not?? wink.gif

I learned a long time ago (on my 4th gen swap) not to do this. It just makes you depressed. Now I just keep the receipts and be happy with my car.
