 Thinline Jack?, I need one with about 3-3-5" clearance when closed |

Ok guys, here's the deal. I don't have my stock jack anymore, and with 1.75" drop and my stock tires, my car will be seriously low to the ground if I get a flat, as near as I can tell, it will be between 3"-3.5". Does anyone know of a company that makes good replacement jacks? I'd really rather not have to call a tow truck if I just have a flat.

a hydrolic jack wont fit under there you can get some pretty slim ones

Sometimes it helps to have a friend lift up on the fender while you slide the jack in place. Or if you have two jacks, you can jack up the rear fully into the air and then youll be able to place on jack somewhere on the front.

craftsman, and a whole slew of other companys make slim line jacks,
theyre usually a little pricey tho. most of them are like nascar style, slim line, and usually 1 or 2 pumps to the frame. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Yes, I did check junkyards for Toyota jacks; however, it is hard to find a 6th gen jack. If they are anything like the 5th gen jack (which I did find) they will not fit.

are you talking about the crank style emergency jack that comes with the car? mine fits just fine and my car is lowered. on the other hand, my normal jack (pump style) will not fit. yet another reason why i dont like having my car as low as it is. they do make low profile hydraulic jacks tho. most car parts stores should sell them.

I am indeed talking about a crank-style jack for emergencies. The only thing I'm worried about is I have a lowering job *with* stock rims, which are relatively high profile tires, and that would cut into my jacking height if they are deflated. Anyone mind measuring their stock jack when it is closed from the plate where it sets on the ground to the highest point, just to make sure it would fit under? Thanks.

i got a flat on 14" rims with a drop and kit....i couldn't even put my finger under my car
but stock jack closed is about 3" high.... |
