i was just wondering last night watching 'american pie'

is that really what your end of year prom is really like ?

do you all get dress up and go and dance and stuff, or is that just Hollywoods idea ????

sorry but being a Brit' it sometimes looks so fake when you see it on TV

(some pix would be fun?!?!?!)

hmm i've been to 3. We've gone out to eat after in our dresses and tuxes and stuff. 2/3 we went to house parties. nothing crazy like american pie though. I just stayed in my dress as long as possible cause they were all so pretty smile.gif. Although my senior prom ended up with me fighting with my b/f at the time most of the night, then getting far too drunk and sick and him leaving me with my girlfriends to take care of me. ahh memories... here is a picture of my best friend and I at my senior prom:

and here I am with my date at his Jr. Prom:

i never wanted to go, got sucked in...anyways my prom sucked, i asked the girl and she said no, i had a huge crush on her, got the nerves to ask her and she denied me, i think her friends didnt think i was popular enough. she told me she wasnt going and then i went and saw her there, broke my lil heart. i ended up with a last minute prom date, i had no money, she ended up driving a bronco with another couple. the actual prom was okay, afterwards we went and got milkshakes and then we were gonna go to a beach party, none around, went home around 1 am.

i only went to prom once, and it was because a friend of mine couldn't find a date, so i took her.
paid for by my rents as a b-day gift(on the same day).
and of course i didn't get any...friend

eh, i'm not a dance person. i can just invite a girl over for a "movie"
a LOT cheaper than prom, and probably just as memorable

Lame thats how i pictured it and I didnt go and i havent regretted it yet! Why would i wanna spend hours dressed up with people that are fake and talked so much Sh*t in high school? I think its a waste of money! I had two guys ask me and i turned them both down cuz i would have rather gone clubbin that night since it was my 18th bday and thats what i did! :-)

didnt go to graduation either cuz i didnt wanna sit there for 2 hours and listen to peoples names be called who were rude! :-)

i wasnt much of the social person in high school. I kept to myself! :-) or was too busy walking out of classes and swearing at my teachers! :-)

why walk outta classes when you can skip the whole day.
just if your a guy tongue.gif(you're not) find a girl to write notes for your absense.

the only thing that happens BAD is when you lose count and you get that letter sent home for missing 15

smile.gif

HS was funnnnn, just wish i had more money during it. . .

Oh and id walk outta class cuz id get pissed during it for whatever reason and just be like "F*CK IT! IM OUTTA HERE" and id get up and leave! then when id get called to the office the next day id milk my way out of getting in trouble :-D

Milk...noice choice of words.
did ya "milk" the principal tongue.gif

kidding.

hs was a joke to me in the end, in AZ it was the ****, and fun
first year in PA it SUCKED and was hella hard, then i got use to it and it was a joke again.
i missed the entire last couple weeks of school junior year because all my friends were seniors...getting out at 12.
so i just went out to breakfast and when i was done they were out...
partay!
edit: i lied, i did eat breakfast as Mikie D's, but that only took a few mins...i ended up resting in the car or just driving somewhere till they got out.

yep i didnt go to prom either, and i havnt regretted it. went to parties afterwards though. my thinking... i had as much fun as the people who went to the dance (lets face it, hs dances arent that fun), and i saved a lot of money smile.gif. makes me sick at how much money some people spent. some kids i knew spent almost a grand! well actually his poor parents did lol. yea i was a loner in hs too, still am in college. omg graduation sucked. no ac+hot day+robe+listening to 700 names=no fun, well except that i was finally done with that joke called hs tongue.gif

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

My senior prom was nothing like the movies. No one went to the rich guy's house to party, no one left for college the next day, but im sure everyone besides my date and I went and got plastered afterwards.

Our prom was on a boat on the Puget Sound. Ride was nice, food was horrible...except for the cheesecake afterwards. The whole night was killed as soon as I started driving UP the hills in Seattle (those of you who have actually attempted to Conquer them will know what I am talking about). Hills + manual x Traffic = not a fun time

U have problems with those hills? im a master at those hills in the rain with traffic wearing stilletos! :-) no ebrake needed either.

My 9th grade dinner dance was on an Argosy boat on Puget Sound...everyone dressed up like prom and I had a horrible time. Just wanted to go home.

In the movies, there's always alot more dancing and silly antics than in real life.

The Prom isnt the fun part...Its AFTER the prom where the fun begins...and the movies OVER do everything...not everybody in the county knows the macarena...or whatever its called.

My first prom was badass. It was at this really really fancy place last year and the room was divided into 3 tiers. The first one had an ice sculpture and some tables and a photo thing, the second one was all tables, and the dance floor was sunk in. Some fancy stuff right there. I'll try and find some pics of me and my date, I look so badass cause I have this fro and big sideburns and a goatee and I'm wearing a black tux with a bright orange vest and tie. After party was beat, didn't drink much. I can't wait for this year though.

Cars are more important than wasting money on a suit and being with some chick that would probably wreck your night. I hate dressing up in a suit anyway. I went to the graduation dinner at high school but even that was boring speeches by the head prefex's rolleyes.gif

ive been to 5 proms. once a year ever since 2000. theyre so fun. one was on a yacht in catalina, another was in the long beach aquarium of the pacific, one was in a museum, the latest one was on a mountain overlooking the cliff, and i forgot one of the earlier ones.... =p

afterwards we would go bowling in anaheim, check out the city lights off signal hill, go to sunset beach, or hit up nearby house parties. and they were just like the ones from the movies too.

i even got some tail under one of the tables near the dance floor while everyone was dancing. it was great, heheheh

shhhh....
