jerking badly and rough idle? could be hesitating...check your ignition system.

I have a boost leak checker thing I maid, very easy to use, and helps you find leaks if thats your problem.

to use it just plug one end up where the turbo would be, and use a bike pump to add pressure if you hear air leaking, you've found your leak,

but jurking and a rough idel does not sould like a leak, a leak would not be very violante, rather just a big loss in hp, or so i belive. check your vacume lines.

thats a lot of vac. you sure your gauge is working correctly? these cars should be getting 18-22vac at idle.

i looked at the pic you have of your engine bay and those hardware store clamps you are using. i can almost bet you money that is the cause of your problem. buy some tbold clamps so that your piping wont blow off.

yea, those vac readings seem way off. build a boost leak tester, and check for leaks.
like art said, my bet is your leaking from one of your piping connections.
t-bolt clamps are the bomb. =)

a good way to test your gauges is to make sure the needle sits at a perfect 0 when the car is not running. if its not, then the gauge not working correctly (unless u have electronic gauges that recalibrate.)

doesn't where your needle sit also have something to do with altitude?
