Today just couldn't get any better![/sarcasm]

I just got home from Yakima, and I decided I'd take the canyon road in my Sentra SE-R. I was going about the speed limit(50 in a 45, though the corner had an advised speed of 40) around a sharp-ish corner and there was a huge rock in my lane, probably a foot in diameter. Hitting the rock would've damaged the front subframe and engine most likely and there was no oncoming traffic, so I swerved to miss the rock, but my car couldn't keep traction around the sharp corner. I locked up the brakes, braced myself, and slid straight into the guardrail at about a 20 degree angle.

The front fender took the biggest hit, while the guardrail scraped the whole side of the car and smashed in my rear quarter panel as well. My front suspension was also damaged on the driver's side(conveniently...I'd just replaced the front strut, lower control arm, and hub/spindle/bearing on that side.) And my parking lights, turn signals, fog lights, interior lights, and alarm no longer work. I managed to slowly make it home, took some pictures, then shot some aerosol primer sealer onto the bare metal areas to prevent rusting.

This sucks ass...now I've got no working Celica and a beater that looks like a complete POS and can't be driven. Today just plain sucked.

That truly sucks major ass. Just get up in the wheel wells with a nice sized mallet and pound it out.

The world really hasn't been nice to you and your suspension problems has it Coom?

Studded tires will do that to you. My dad doesn't want me running them on anything because he says they're dangerous. That's a weekends worth of body work, and then another weekend of painting. Maybe one more weekend of electrical repair, or at least an afternoon.

Car looks in a lot better shape than what you describe. Good thing for guard rails! Man, you don't deserve this.

dang that sux man, but the damage is really not that bad, looks drivable to me.

um.. studded tires, yeah there very bad traction, ment for snow and ice only (although its winter snow and ice is problaby not uncommon)

I think you are just not used to the differences in the nissan and the
Celi. I leave mine outside and people still think its brand new.
I know you hate capslock but...DON'T SELL THE YELLI CELI!!!!

I guess I combined a couple topics there. You got to much on ur mind man, you
need to get ur car where you are.
