WEll its my friend type s. He has headers, intake, exhaust, and a short shifter. He kinda cheated tho. Well ull see it. o and i can scratch on 3rd i didnt know im capable of that. but yea it was a 2honk run and he took off before the 2nd honk. ( i have a gay voice, i have a flu) vrooooom

the RSX Type-S is a really nice car, and yes, you can tell he cheated by taking off before the 2nd honk, but its still a much faster car then the celica.

man i cried... lol but damn i drove his car and damn it feels good. his short shifter makes me misshift so much. we got another run. let me get compressed. Even tho i like the way it feels driving i love my celi still. He drove my car and he said he feels more power on my car. i started rotfl.

i wouldn't even think about racing my friend's stock type-s. i'm just fine with ppl wondering how fast my car is, instead of them finding out how slow it actually is. but nice vids. and pretty funny how your friend felt more power with your car lol.

The reason I've been a little dissapointed, is because everyone says the 3sgte is the best 4 cyclinder motor ever mass produced. How come you guys with them don't have better numbers at the track? The 3sgte Celica seems to be a really fun car. And all who have it, love it. The thing is though, it gets talked up like it will outrun everything on the road. The troque would help on these things. Lagos, if you say you beat him really badly, I fully believe you. I want to see a 3sgte Celica run low 12s. And still de driven daily. That would measure up to the hype.

i remember back in the day, used to run around in a 05' RSX-S then one fateful night, picked a bad car to race and ended kissing a tree. 2 broken ribs and a totaled brand new car later, im back to a 3s swap and AWD talon. lol
it is very possible for boost to overtake an RSX, eclipse GS-T have NOTHING on them a GSX will take off the line, if the rsx driver is good, he can pull hard by 3rd gear. a s/c rsx, almost unstobable. we're talking evo8s modified with upped boost and better fmics were getting stomped from a stop and highway rolls. good to hear atleast lagos is putting it down for the 3s swappers. ill have a dyno sheet when my 3s is completed so then there will be no more complaining right? ![]() -------------------- 94' ST Coupe - 5sfe Motor swap and brake swap.

A 13second street car is very fast. Don't Vipers run low 13s stock? I just see these Honda's breaking into those times all the time. But there's a lot more of them, so the odds are higher. There are few 3sgte swapped Celica's compared to the turbo charged Honda's out there. I've considered building a 3sgte one day. I'm so dirt poor right now. I can't afford anything. I'm doing all the research now. I've considered 3sge, because I love NA power. If I could see proof that a 3sgte in a FWD car can actually hook up and run 12s, I'll probably be forced to do that. Never heard anyone say that... maybe one of the best turbocharged 4 cylinders... then again the 4G63 is superior to the 3S in my eyes. You know the 5S isn't a bad motor to elect for one of the best straight fours of all time. it had decent power for it's time, but that aside, it's almost bulletproof and can log hundreds of thousands of miles. I dunno... I'm going to say Nissan's old 2.4 is my favorite 4 cylinder motor. I've seen those things take crazy amounts of abuse and be fine. |
