Item # 4616708459

I was the second high bidder on this - and the seller sent me an offer to purchase if highest bidder did not fall through. --

I have an auto 96 with over 200k miles and planned on doing a 3sgte swap within the next 2 months. Since i Have an auto - i would need to do a manual conversion and buy all the extra parts .

I figured I would use this salvage as the project since its already a manual and would not have to do too much as if i were to use the auto.

I've been looking for a 2ndary transportation car and will be picking up one from another member on here in April to use when the swap project starts. But I could not resist the ebay one - if that high bidder does not fall through which i think they will not (suspicion that the seller is using another account to bid on it to raise the bid) than i will end up having 3 celica's -- if it all works out - i will be keeping the salvage one and end up selling the other two or selling just one and have 2 celica

glad to hear comments and criticisms

my plans were to redo the interior in mine anyways - so it doesn't matter if the air bags were deployed -- the front frame doesn't look to be of serious damage - looks fixable in the picture -

i think the only thing extra that this would cost me would be fender - and front windshield . C-one bumper+ hood - head lights . steering wheel - were already included in my budget

It looks fixable. Theres a scam going out on ebay for 2nd chance buyers. I almost got
caught up in it buying a guitar. A fake person poses as the buyer. You get an email
claiming the first person didn't pay up. Be careful, don't ever western union, and look
at the item if your close by.

thanks for your replies - i just checked my ebay - and the seller did not reply to the response i gave him - i told him deposit to be made last wk of march - and the rest 1st wk of april --

i've looked for salvage celicas near me every month - and its not easy to come by cause most of the time its not worth rebuilding (too much damage) - if the seller does reply than i'll hit you up devilsden97 on your offer

I'm not saying the seller is scamming you, but thats alot of money to spend on a Celica that looks as bad as mine was(about $6000 damage), and you have'nt even figured in the cost of shipping or towing it that far(NY to Texas). I would look for one closer to your own state.

i've already figured the cost of shipping before hand - this is the 2nd time he listed this item - i also bid the 1st time it was listed, but didn't win - shipping was between 400-500 - which is fine with me - as long as i could keep the total cost under $1500 i wasn't to worried --- parts i can replace - the only thing that worried me was how bad the frame damage was
