Today i started to really install the turbo. took the front bumber
off the radiator and the stock exhaust mani spent like half the day on one bolt- striped it -drilled it- broke it. my turbo exhaust mani is very diffearnt from NIK's old 7afte i also had to cut the top left hand side of the mani. the down pipe has to go between two refrigerant lines they are really close i was thinking ...i drain the refrigerant then with a torch heat up the line and bend it a little. how much dose it cost to get it filled? |

Turned on the car today turbo started to spin nicely something dosn't sound right? ....i'm tired pics + vid soon |

With 60 psi at idle, use the restrictor. some smoke is normal on first startup, but not a lot. Hope you can get that AC back up, its nice to have. sounds good though, lets get some pics!

i'm in at my parents house .. no cam..sister should get hers back tomarrow.
today i tryed to get the down pipe welded i took them the downpipe piece with the autozone flex pipe thing on it they said bring in the car so i drove it with the flex pipe just going stright down LOUD they wanted 90$ just to do the downpipe .**** that right.. ..:)even with stright pipe you can still hear the turbo spining up LOUD??i'm new to this sound ME LIKES.. so right now i have some low impedance injectors so what resisters do i need from radio shack to make them work????????----MAIN QUESTION OF THE DAY---if some body can give me a part number...I would be very thankful..10watt 10ohm ?? also what wire do i connect them to? so i'ma go try to find a cheaper place tomarrow for the downpipe.... i should also have some pictures This post has been edited by southwest2118: Mar 14, 2006 - 2:41 AM |

haha, not electrical restrictor; its a piping restrictor that goes on your oil line. go to:
http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/index2.html click on turbo accessories and adapters. buy: 0.063" Oil Pressure Orifice 303 SS, 1/8" male to 1/8" female NPT, use thread sealant on all NPT connections. $15 This post has been edited by CheesyLobster: Mar 15, 2006 - 7:28 PM |

QUOTE(CheesyLobster @ Mar 15, 2006 - 6:25 PM) haha, not electrical restrictor; its a piping restrictor that goes on your oil line. go to: http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/index2.html click on turbo accessories and adapters. buy: 0.063" Oil Pressure Orifice 303 SS, 1/8" male to 1/8" female NPT, use thread sealant on all NPT connections. $15 I have the oil restrictor from atp..just don't use it right now. No I'm not talking about that cheesy i ran 10w 10ohm inline with my low impedance injectors to make them high so right now they are like 13ohm works great... but today i got my downpipe done WOW they did a nice job looks clean but i didn't get the muffler put in. so it's a "sleeper" for now but they forgot to put that up stream o2 sensor. |
