Guess I could do that. Wondering if I'll just find a cylinder that doesn't turn.
Is that silver trim in your profile pics painted or is it a kit? -------------------- 94 CelicaGT producing massive amonts of NOx - UGH!!!

not long ago my passanger door didnt open from the outside, instead of opening the door with the lock off, it locked the door, problem solved with WD40 or whatever you want to use when metals dont slide, dont be afraid, disarm the door

Have you ever tried to get to these lock mechanisms - you have to take every single thing off the freakin door and it's still mostly hidden behind the door frame - STUPIFYING ![]() I also think I have a Toyota remote key system installed, but I don't have the remote - is it easy to get one to match what's in my car? -------------------- 94 CelicaGT producing massive amonts of NOx - UGH!!!

There is alot of stuff inside and the lock is not easy to get at! I got a quote from a local locksmith who gave me a quote for 45$ to get the parts (not including the labor) for another lock cylinder that would work with my existing key. Turns out that mine was frozen and loosened with the right spray. It still seems very worn and sticks a little sometimes. Yellow94Gt |

getting to the locks in the doors isn't too hard at all. Once you get the door panel off use this link, then just unbolt the handle (2 10mm bolts) and unclip the "U" or "C" shaped clips holding the rods in place at the inside of the handle (2 rods, one for opening the door, the other for lock/unlock the door). Once the handles are out, you can replace the lock cylinders easliy.
