On my DG Performance exhaust i am starting to make i need your opinions...
2 choices
Should i use carbon fiber mufflers on my exhausts?

Should i use stainless mufflers on my exhausts?

i would set up a poll but i dont know how to so just leave me some feedback on this
thanks,

both? but you should probably use more stainless ones since more ppl get those and i assume the cf would cost more.

I think you'd have a broader audience with stainless.

i think both would be great. If it would be possible, off them both at different prices since i assume cf would cost more. But if you cant, i agree with everyone else, SS would probably appeal and sell to mroe people

i guess you guys are right.... to try to offer both. but as of now i dont have the budget to buy both in a bulk order so i have to pick one or the other. it is looking like stainless is pulling ahead probably cause the cost of cf would be a little higher.
thanks to all of you for the comments!!!
anything else you guys can think of shoot the idea past me. i am always trying to meet the customers needs and wants.

celicazr, I can make it look any way you like... i am making a few 2.5" catback setups. if you wanted to buy your own muffler i could always make custom setups using whatever you want. so to answer your question "yes" i can make something for you similar to that.
Aaagogo, make sure you send me pics first of your harnesses so i can confirm that you are sending everything...you dont want to pay shipping 2 times!

dave, have you figured out how you plan on dealing with shipping? most of your customers will be spread out all over america.

i think the 2.5in catback is a great idea, since most members dont have many exhaust choices.

Make a tip?

I am just going to have to see what shipping will cost after i make the first 2.5" catback system? I am just going to have to redesign the flange location setup so it can be shipped easier and that is all i can do...

why not get a wholesale account with magnaflow?
then offer their line of mufflers i could see that being very beneficial...
plus much better muffler selection...although it might tack on a few days to production time

I agree that you will have a broader audience with the stainless, but I think it's a better business desision to go cf. I would at least try to offer both. There is a lot of poeple that want would like the stainless, myself included. But there are alot of poeple with money that like cf.

After Owning my HKS Muffler I wont run anything but, Id like to pick up a 3" DP-back system tho w/ no muffler, once I get the v6 drop pipes figured out.

I Think the Stainless would appeal to more, either way tho you gotta figure your gonna be flooding this site with them.
