So, im bored at work and i checked my pricing for a set of suspention tech swaybars. Any ways, i can pretty much get em for half of retail price. Any ways, i know a bunch of people have the rear, but im wondering if any one has the beefed up front. It says it works for 90-97 celica's. Any one use the front or both? Hows the car feel afterwards?? I wanna start workin on my suspention in the summer. Im gonna be also gettin some 17x7.5 rims too. Also, its kinda funny that i could get 1 sway bar end link (OEM style) from a local parts shop for 3/4 the price of a full suspention tech sway bar

I was underneath my car the other day and I've heard you guys say that you need to drop the gas tank to install the rear bar. Is that really true? It looks to me like you could squeeze it right up in there without having to go to such drastic measures.

Anybody care to explain?

You unbolt the two rear tank hanger bolts. This will give you enough room to work the rear bar into place.

Maybe he was thinking its 300$ each. but its for F&B? I'm not sure, but I did see his price is in canada, here in the US we have a slight better exchange rate. anyways if its a discount worth the shipping cost IM INTERESTED!

ok..clearing this up..up here..retail price PER BAR is around $265CND, im gonna see if i can get a GB goin with these for cost + 10%..ie $146.38CND each. So its gonna be roughly $300CND for both + cost of shipping. So roughly $260 USD + shipping. Dont quote me on these prices, they arent firm, but this is a rough estimate.

I was looking on www.Andysautosport.com. I found them there, and they want 355 bucks for them. Nopi has the set for like 250. Andys says that if you can provide proof of someone selling them cheaper, they will beat that price. I am thinking of taking advantage of that. Also if Coomer adds an advertisement on the page (like the ones below) and show them, our club can get a discount through them.

just throwin' it out there.

I called Andys today and asked. They just said they would match it. I want to call back and ask someone else if they will beat that price. I did a mock order of GR-2's all around and sway bar set.

Andys-567.82
NOPI- 470.02
Difference of- 97.80

Pretty much all suspension things on Andys is over priced. 55 bucks for a GR-2 for the front, 61 for a rear. NOPI has them all for 49.45.

1.Yes. They made a completely new kind of bar. One that doesn't rub at all.

2. Yes. 225 for F/R.

Come on people! 3 more

I just got off the phone with Andy's. After shipping they gave me a price of 505 for GR-2's all around and F/R sway bars, but if we can get 3 more people I will just order struts.

Yeah, I'll order struts only. I'll ask them if they can give me a G/B price on sways. Maybe they will give a better deal.

Inserts in front, whole housing in back. Just ordered the GR-2's. 225 shipped. I didn't tell them what NOPI was giving us as a G/B price, and the lowest they got to was 250... no thanks.

but 225 shipped for GR-2's is pretty good IMO.. beats eBay

ok...so i got a price for us 2day. I have it writen down on a peice of paper in my car. The bars will be roughly $430CND..so around $377.65USD then the cost of shipping ontop. And this is the complete front and rear kit from suspension tech. So it will include all mounting bushings, links, hardwear, ect. So, im guessin no one would want them cuz every one can get em for cheaper off nopi. I tried.

Dang. I was hoping for soemthing lower than NOPI. Thank you for finding out though. smile.gif

I did contact NOPI a few days ago and they gave me a price of 240 shipped for the F&R bars. I am going to call back tomorrow to see if I can haggle a lower price. If you guys are still up for this, I will make the G/B and get this shiz going.

They said Sydney.. Possibly. Canada... no. They can't ship to Canada because of some sort of agreement they made.

The price is going to be 237+shipping. The guy I talked to last time told me 240 shipped, but I got the manager down there today and he gave me this price. Sooo, if you guys are still interested, then could you PM me your address so I can find out shipping? They don't have a flat rate.

ebay is 260 plus 50 shipping

and nopi is 272 plus $30 shipping so 300 again

ebay for me is 260 and + 10% handling fee but free pick up = 286

but yeah what happened to 225 shipped?

Then for you Lew, it will most likely be (with the 237 price.. still trying to work with them on it) 270-275ish. The more people that can show interest, the easier it will be for me to work their price down. I am still working with them about this price thing, because 240 shipped was what I was originally told, which would be nice.

I do need full addresses though to get the shipping prices. I tried using just Zip codes, but they need full address.

Aaagogo- PM'ed back.

...Do the "new" ones not still have a problem of rubbing? ...thought i read somwhere that the people were still having the problem?

...anyway, see how low you can get the price for like 20 people...or 30...whatever, there are tons of people on this site, and i'm pretty sure you could find 20.

9) bojangles_8686
10) playr158
11) DeW_H0e_GT (only interested if it's 225 shipped)

Digndoug said that back in the days he got it for 225 shipped.

95celicast is the one leading the GB

please address ur final confirmation, right now price is not confirmed.

this is like a swing, he needs more ppl to work the price down, but ppl are not willing to commit if the price is not down. u guys shd get what i mean.

if we can get 10 or 15 ppl that 95celicast can tell nopi that they can sell 15 sets of st sway bars for 225 shipped, see if nopi will bite...

Just installed my Suspension Techniques swaybars and they are Ah-MAZING! The car feels so different, definitely the best mod I've done so far. The front was easy but the rear was a pain in the butt, I think I'm going to write a how-to about it since there so many ppl getting these.

i followed that a bit, but instead of totally pulling my muffler i did it a little differently to simplify things (plus my muffler bolts were rusted solid to the car, i didn't want to cut it off)

1. undid both fuel tank straps and dropped the tank about 2 inches
2. unbolted the bolt-on muffler hangers and left on the third hanger, this gave the exhaust enough room to pivot and move a bit out of the way
3. unbolted my strut assemblies from the upper strut mounts. this made things a lot more simple compared to removing the control arms like the instructions and haynes manual say to do.
