So, i warped my new original rotors using my new original pads. I was wondering if I should replace the pads too now that i'm replacing the discs. The pads is about 9 months old. If I replace the pads, I think I would go with EBC greenstuff. Are those good pads?
Thanks -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE(eliaz @ Apr 19, 2006 - 1:20 PM) So, i warped my new original rotors using my new original pads. I was wondering if I should replace the pads too now that i'm replacing the discs. The pads is about 9 months old. If I replace the pads, I think I would go with EBC greenstuff. Are those good pads? Thanks Yes. It goes either way. If you replace one, replace the other (unless you're replacing the pads and the rotor is good, simply have the rotor turned). Reason being is that the pad and rotor develop a wear pattern to each other and actually groove. If you replace one and not the other, you get an uneven wear pattern that will lead to poor heat distribution across the pad/rotor area, and eventually, warping. -------------------- |

wear quick...haha thats a joke
i've had mine on for a very long time..little signs of wear and i was hard on them esp with drilled and slotted rotors... i think i was well near 10,000 miles or more on my ebc green stuffs and they still had a TON of life left.. |

a good rule of thumb when cutting, trimming or replacing rotors is to get some new pads, you dont want to glaze the old pads or have glazed pads resurface the newer rotors and warp them again.
