Hi everyone, i just finished washing/waxing/detailing the car so here are the pics of the new car

lol, yea, but its not because it isnt lowered(the 18s leave no gap around the wells), its just really a bigger car

thanks everyone for the comments! About comparison.....they are about the same, Cobalts tranny def. allows for much higher speeds though, and well the cobalts size an weight helps it feel more stable.

the car still misfires while its not boosting though, even with the new plugs, and timing correction, so maybe once I fix it it will feel faster. The turbo feels OK, but the DP is missing like 2 studs? and ones loose...ill check it out tommorow, I've only driven it 4 times.

Most props go to Chan55 for building the ride. But i think the new owner will take good care of it. Now it only needs some nice Projectors

hey guys, got an update!

Black car: blackouts for high beams(one of the lows was destroyed when the headlight was smashed on the convertible) Eyelids, and i switched the rims....

The vert is sitting in my backyard waiting for new belts, a/c compressor, and crank pully
(ac comp clutch stopped spinning, crank pully popped out, belts melted eachother apart)
put the gold rims on for now since its not moving anywhere, but my bro said they can stay if i paint them silver or gunmetal...

I really don't like the black out lights or eyelids. I think they make the car look cheap. Other than that, LOVE the car. Awsome buy!!

im just going through a black phase right now, so the front mount will def be getting painted black....eyelids are coming off though, i was just bored.

once i get my jdm headlights, im sure im getting some chrome ssr professor wheels..not going back to the gold rims though.

Dont go chrome on the wheels. If you think its slow, chrome will just slow it down even more. Its heavy.

CHIN! ....to be honest the lids were done as a way of lowering the excess glare from the hid's, cant get pullred over ya know? As for the next choice of wheels, im going with something with a deeper dish or more euro style....with the gold ones, the crossmember would smack every bump in the road, and let me tell ya, the roads are BUMPYlol, and with these, the car doesnt bottom out as much, but the tires rub the fender a bit.

Looks good man... deep dish is what I was ultimately going for, that would look so nice. I only painted my rims gold because I was too cheap to buy new rims and hey it worked.

I say... paint the rims you have on now gold and keep the lip on the rims the way it is. Pure sex...

Oh yeah... since you broke those sidemarkers, you should do the JDM sidemarker mod. I never got around to doing that either... you promised to finish what I started! You must obey... hahaha

Geez, no wonder. Stock boost is 7psi, so its probably just barely hitting full stock boost.

Time to troubleshoot guy. Then you'll be more happy with the power.

you have some type of boost leak, restrive exhaust, CEL, or some other problem going on. no wonder your car feels really slow.

stock boost should be about 10psi. 7 is a bare min the car runs at when the ecu sees a problem going on.

13psi is where the car starts to come alive, and 15psi even better.

so you think its the bov? car has simalar prob to brianforesters, have to give it gas as well to turn it on and dies if i let go upon initial start up, after a while it will idle ok, im leaning towards bov(boost leak) and AFM malfunction, although the car doesnt throw codes aside from speed sensor
