so i was driving the other day and one of the hoseclamps for my IC piping came off. Right now I don't have the tools or time really to get under the car and fix it. So pretty much my turbo is just pushing out air but its not going anywhere, and i put on a shortram intake so that i wouldn't get unfiltered air.

Is there any harm being done to my car? I plan on fixing it eventually, and i have a 2 hour drive planned for this weekend. i don't think that this would be harmful, its just like the car is being naturally aspirated for a little while. but what do you guys think?

just fix it

you cant use those hardware store clamps. you need to buy some quality T-bolt clamps. those will never come loose on you.

The thing is i think the reason it came off is because the pipe is cut a little too short to reach the connector easily, so it has to be streached. So for me to really fix it, id have to get a new pipe and cut it to the right size, which i can't really do living in a dorm.

if i didn't just fix it do you think it would be harmful?

Get a longer silicone hose and good hose clamps. It is quite harmful for a turbo to free spin (not push air against a load). It can over speed and damage the turbo. At the very least, make sure you wastegate is held fully open...
