I hope Nintendo knows what they're doing.... Seems like the console market is leaning more towards realism and really intense HD graphics while Nintendo is going for good gameplay...

Wii, looks so similar to WiFi and pronouncing it "WE" reminds me of Michelle Wie:

Wii lol cool name, but it has alot of catching up to do considering xbox360 has been out for almost 6 months, and ps3 will be coming out in november.

i dont see what problems youre talking about, sure it ate a couple disk but MS was fast to realize the problem and correct it.


dont get me wrong my first system was a nintendo and i will always support nintendo, but the wii will never be better than the 360 or even the ps3 which i dont support whatsoever

i personally think its going to be a huge hit akin to almost an ipod. the name sure came as a surprise but i think its catchy and creative. definitely a gamble for nintendo, but i think itll work out well for them. i think once people play it for themselves, theyll be hooked. lots of exciting new types of games coming out for it. red steel looks like it will make dual analog shooters seem archaic. and im still looking forward to possibly putting one in my car in the empty slot under head unit

ya we already have had to return our 360 for repairs. but forza 2 and halo 3 make the 360 worth it

i have to disagree. mark my words, the wii will get bigger than you think, and nintendo surely wont be ruined. like i said, i think this could become a marketing phenomenon like the ipod. already today, nintendo has recieved a lot of coverage about the name from abc, cnn, mtv, you name it. thats impressive for a video game console. now that they have everyones attention, nintendo just needs to play there cards right at e3. a launch of most likely 200 bucks with free wifi online service, and an entirely different gaming experience; hard to pass that up. ive heard rumors that the ps3 might be delayed until early 07 because of issues with the blu-ray and if the price rumors (600+) are true and blu-ray flops as the next-gen media (looks as though hd-dvd is becoming favorite), itll be tough for sony this generation. microsoft has some great games coming out including halo 3, forza 2, too human, and many others. if the ps3 is delayed, people might opt to get a 360 instead, and itll hurt their sales.

Not a chance it'll ruin Nintendo. Thy made the vast VAST majority of their profits froom gameboy sales. The Gamecube didn't meet expectations, and the Wii and DS can tank, and Nintendo will still be seeing assloads of profit from the handlheld market.

Besides, Nintendo systems are always good products, in my opinion the gamecube was overall the best system out there last generation. It was small, loaded quick, had a great controller layout, and on average, nintendo puts out better games than anyone else. Sure, it may not have the library of the PS2 or Xbox, but lets face it 90% of games for those systems are rushed crap you'd never want to play anyhow. Also lets not forget the cube had the game of the year--resident evil 4 (which still looks better than most 360 games).

I'm going to get a PS3, mainly for gran turismo 5, but once I see how the Wii thing goes, I may get that as well.

SONY is notorious for lying to the public. Look at PS2. "It will offer toy-story like graphics!" Bull $hit!!! That crappy a$$ controller is definetly not revolutionary and the Wii is. The 360's controller is VERY solid all th way around. And as far as 360's breakin' and what not, every new console has had heating problems and other small glitches. That's why they are constantly redesigned throughout the life of the console so that they may work more efficiently. The Wii looks to be a cool concept that can have ipod like sales or go the way of the 3DO. But guess what? The PS3 can fall flat as well.

lol dont kid yourself, not my fault you wasted $600 on a 360. Have you not seen the real time demo of Metal Gear? That alone ass rapes any 360 game. The xbox has by far the worst controller known to man. Long story short th PS3 will ass rape 360, and as far as graphics go, look at soul caliber and tekken, for a 3+ year old system those are pretty nice graphics. So looks like sony delivered yet again.

First of all I never said I owned a 360. And the reason is I simply wont have time to play video games until summer at which I will purchase a 360 along with a ps3 if it isn't $hit. Kojima said it his self that MSG4, the only game that is worth anything so far on ps3, is more than capable on a 360. He didn't put it on there b/c other teams from Konami had already developed for the 360 and he always wants to be the first on a new console. Personally I think that is bull $hit as he would have done it anyway as most developers ride SONY's dick. Have you seen TOO HUMAN? That game is bad azz. You nor anyone else can deny that.
That is on par if not better LOOKING than MSG4. Gears of War and MASS EFFECT are other killa apps. Controller wise I have not read a game mag that states that the 360 is anything short of perfect. I love that controller. I stay facts not fiction. The 360 is selling and is on its way to 4.5 to 5.5 milli by June sometime. How many units has the Wii or PS3 sold? Not a damn one. Will the PS3 sell alot? ****ing duh? Will M$ be able to stop PS3 from selling? Hell naw! But it can TRY to slow it down. Personally, and I hate to say it, but PS3 might eclispe the 360 sales wise but not until a year. But that's only if the PS3 can deliver visuals that they showed of Killzone 2 or Moto storm. It wont this year or the next. But BACK ON SUBJECT... I think the Wii is going to be a good product and I hope people aren't too narrow minded to just by pass this and get a PS3 because SONY told them it was kool and could produce visuals that look better than a STAR WARS movie.

I love half-life as well. It started it all. Halo...Killzone you name it. But there ARE so games in the current generation such as GOD of WAR and Ninja Gaiden that have that old school addiction to them as well. The current crop of 360 games are just pretty blondes if you ask me. Games just to get sales. All new systems start off with those until the developers get to grips with the system. The PC never has that problem. They continually get quality games.
