well today was mifflin block party in madison and i was going home to my parents house to get some money then head up to the big party. When leaving my house in a milwaukee i guess i was dreaming or not watching the road but I braked into this saturn doing like 15-20. worst part was i was in my moms 2000 celica while we were decideing what to do with my celicas engine. no one was hurt, at the time but im worried now cause i have that awkward feeling that the guy might try to sue for whiplash or something similar. He was very understanding in the matter and wasnt mad or anything. The damage on his car was just black paint on his back bumper plus a little dent, nothing major. but the celica got it bad frown.gif the whole hood crumpled up and the front bumper was smashed in a little bit and pretty offline now. well i guess ill just have to file the claim and hope for the best, but the 500 dollars to fix the car isnt going to be any fun making me closer to being broke and insurance going up. Just a warning to others that no matter how many times you check around your car in the mirror or what not always keep looking forward cause thats what i wasnt doing and ending up braking right into him. literally less than 1 sec and wham it was over.

that sucks dude. sorry to hear about that. at least your celica wasn't damaged. but then again, that also means less money for your celica. and no one was hurt so that's always good.

listen, if he sues...hes a moron. Its called an accident for a reason. U didnt intentionally go out there saying "hey im gonna run into that guy." If i was your fault, insurance will take care or his car, if he sues then idk, but i dont think he would or have any right to.

This is a rather silly statement don't you think? He would not be an idiot to sue if he had justification to do so. Just because it was not intentional doesn’t mean he has no right to. Yes, if he wanted some type of compensation for an injury or damages he should just contact the person responsible directly. The only reason he should sue is if the person responsible denies said responsibility or refuses to pay for damages. Obviously if this guy claims to have severe injuries he would need to prove that. That is the whole purpose for court. One person claims something, another denies it, or thinks what the person brining the action to court is asking is unfair.
So if this guy says I want a million dollars because my neck hurts, yes he is an idiot, and will not win in a court unless he can prove he has some serious injuries that have ruined his life in some way, and/or has some ridiculous amounts of doctor's bills... I'm taking this too far now I just realized that.
The point is, everyone has a right to sue, whether it’s fair, or with substantial reasoning is to be determined by a court.
The end!

Assholes sue in car accidents at 10 to 15mph.....people that sue when someone is being reckless or just a high rate of speed are ok people. This case, if the guy sues...asshole. And auto insurance usually covers bodily harm, so that covers medical bills if they guy does have some issues.
