This may be a dumb question, but will this Alpine Ipod adapter work with other brand HUs that have an auxillery input. i was thinking about getting a clarion, but i cann't find any adapter for it and/or it will be too expensive.

Thats one is for Alpine headunits only. Becuase some Alpine headunits have a special plug in the back that this connects onto. They have other units you can purchase for other brands.
