I'll be happy with 350-400whp 350-400 torque those are the numbers im shooting for. yes i have been driving the car since april 10th i only have 870 miles on it right now but i'll have 1500-2000 by dyno time

thats AWESOME nik, cant wait to see the fruits of all your hard work paying off!
like art said, runfiles!!!! if you bring a floopy with you, most of the time they can d/l them right there for you.
also be sure to ask if they can log boost.
always good to know exactly whats going on with that as well. i love analyzing all my files, there is TONS of info in them if you analize them well enough.
good luck!!

right now im just lightly boosting it at 8 psi and keeping her under 4k rpm for break in she is pretty quick and feels like alot of torque down low in the gears

Good stuff, man. We're keeping our fingers crossed...I am sure you'll make your goal. On another note, it's nice how you're breaking her in softly.

EDIT: When I rebuilt my 7A-FE, you know what was my break-in method? LITERALLY a break-in: WOT at 8 PSI right off the bat. I treat this engine like a cheap prostitute; I feel bad sometimes! tongue.gif

Nik those are enormous numbers! What type of boost level do you expect to see those power levels at and at what rpm? Can't wait to see those numbers as 7ag forced induced dyno plots are not widespread.
Great effort indeed!

You'll definately need big slicks. This is my buddy's 545 FWHP 1.8 SOHC Mirage. He ran 11.0 @ 139 and he's having traction issues. How big can you go? tongue.gif

The clearence you have on that belt and the fact
ur hood is partualy open with the vent, spells

I love the build, it is sick. Be careful with the boost.
I think the flywheel and the mains, might become a
concern later. I am not so familar with 7A lower end
but, Chevy didn't make a 4 bolt on high HP motors for
nothing. Great #s man.

Nik, can you post the dyno sheet? Also, what RPM are you getting 200 ft/lbs of torque?

Nik 312whp is wicked... In Australia cars are more measured in kilawatts of power. When im finnished with my 5sgte build im look at the 200kw mark... 300 is my goal (later in the year)

312 horsepower [international] = 232.658 359 44 kilowatts of power.

With a little more tunning im sure you can get that 350whp you looking for....

Also is 92 pump fuel the highest you guys have..???? Coz we have 98 here.... Mmmmmm.. Import your car to Oz and you can keep it at my house....hehehe..

Well done.... Rikki

Those are some nice numbers. You shouldn't be down on your self but rather down in your engine bay looking for ways to improve it if you're still wanting 350whp. Remember, there is always room for improvement. A little tweak here, a little tweak there..... wink.gif

Other things are measured differently here than the rest of the world too - one of them is octane. US 93 rated octane (the highest easily available octane here) is equivalent to your 98 octane.

Getting around/over 200hp/L is really good (I'm talking flywheel hp here...). Keep up the good work!

way to be . those are good numbers. To have as much torque as hp is something most built Honda motors never experience. Good luck with 350 whp but I want to see what that car will do in the ¼ mile.

Sheby didn't make a good engine either...we have a stock short block mopar 360 with cast crank, 2 bolt mains, stock rods and pistons..running mid 10's in a 3100# car with 10.5 slicks with leaf springs (all motor) and all.....sheby..hahaha,,and phord!!! don't even start!

Great numbers man!!! Toyotas and mopars kick everyone elses asses...for stock parts, both overlybuilt.

Nik, was this a dynojet? Do you have the runfiles? If so, you could email them to me and I could put them in a more traditional format for you. Perhaps Manny is already doing that. That is one crazy torque line for the seemingly smooth power delivery.

yeah i'll get a better scan of it. yes it was on a dynojet. they could get a good reading on the rpm because the sds throws alot of volts so i have to go back so they can get it off the crank. the cams are still zero out so we havent messed with those yet
