As some of you might already know I have a 3rd gen 3sgte st205 swap. My problem started yesterday. But it's not consistant. Basically sometimes it wont boost at all and bogs out when stepping on the gas in every gear. Then it goes back to boosting 15psi which is my current set-up. My current mods are turbosmart blowoff, high flow intake, greddy sp exhaust. The rest is still stock. Any ideas?
Thanks

sounds like what my car does when it heatsoaks and retards timing. if you make ANY boost at all, it feels kinda like fuel cut. then when i get moving for a while and the temp sensor cools down, it gets back to normal.

has it been hot out lately? or have you been getting stuck in traffic? i think ive heard that this is a fairly common problem.

I'm not getting any check engine light and there seems to be no boost leaks.

Well I narrowed it down to the electrical system. Basically if I play my stereo to loud were it requires extra juice the car bucks and bogs. Same thing goes if I try to put my windows down while boosting it bucks and bogs. Has anyone ever experienced this before?

3rd gen 3s-gte alternator are prown to brake when subduede (correct word?) to too much heat. Since I dont see the cold air snorkel that normally is attached could be failure of your alternator.

Thanks I going to change all the ignition components soon. But do you think the battery would still charge if it is my alternator?

It depends on the condition of the battery. Running a good battery with a bad alternator for very long can destroy the battery. The same is true the other way. The battery and alternator have a symbiotic relationship and a bad one of either can take the other one down if not addressed relatively quickly.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

The plugs were changed 150 miles ago. As for plug wires, rotor, cap are still what came with the motor. The only other modification I made recently is a supra walbro fuel pump.

Sounds like a loose connection with an ignition or wiring thereof.

ahh. check the grounding on the pump! if it started after you installed that could be it, it is just getting enough juice but when other stuff starts pulling juice its just not enough...
