Alright, so I just purchased Angel Eyes for my car today and I was wondering if I should try to install them myself or see how much my locat Toyota dealer would charge to do them.

The reason I wouldn't want to do them myself is because I don't want to ruin anything and I also think the wiring would confuse me and whatnot. I also dont want to do a ****ty job.

The reason it would be hard for the dealer to do them is depending on how much they charge, I am very poor..

I also don't know how to take the bumper off, nor do I know how difficult and if I even have the proper tools..

Any suggestions...?

toyota is not going to install something custom for you.

just do it yourself. its a great way to learn about your car.

I'll be honest, I'm just very scared to do it myself, I don't want to break anything,. or I don't want something to happen where I can't the bumper back on or something like that.

Not only that, I don't know what it requires to get the bumper off, let alone the tools for the bumper.

lol, well i guess at least your honest. Thats better then some of the people on here who are like, "I wana swap a 3S-GTE in my car." Then they are like "Whats an intercooler?" Anyways, do it yourself. Removing the bumper is easy and just take your time. Wont be hard at all. Just wait till you start changing head gaskets and clutchs. Uggh.....

When you say dimmer, do you mean the dark green wire thats with the huge bunch of wires that's behind the gauges and whatnot?

Yes, I believe that green wire is the 12v source.

I'm thinkin of making some (acrylic rod & LED's) and i was gonna put em in the high beams. Thing is I'm up north, so we have day time running lights that come on.

I was thinking of wiring angels to the parking light knob (so they come on first click with sidemarkers) but i also wanted to have it hooked up to a toggle switch (so i can turn angels off and still have just my parking lights on)

How do i wire into parking lights, and should i have the toggle before or after i splice?

If you tap into the dimmer switch, your angel eyes will turn on on the first click along with your sidemarkers.

so what are we at now? Are you still scared to take off the bumper? Its sooo simple, even i could do it. =). As far as the wiring goes, just take your time, and you should be fine. Get a friend to help you out, it makes it so much easier to be able to talk it out.
