^and sorta counter productive?

u need your eyes to drive, so u cant be looking at a tv in your dash. And if u are, u should have your license torn into 1983 pieces.

and yeah, the cool people who park in parking lots to watch a dvd....yeah your cool. u can do that, while ill be chilling on the couch, with my girl, watching a dvd, in the privace of my own home.

well I got it because I drive people around a lot so its really for my passengers. i figure hey I dont have music I might as well get a in dash dvd player for entertainment ( guests ) . so yeah. and yes I did install it so I can watch it while driving hehe. The screen is manually in and out. I like it more that way because the auto ones have problems. ^_^

of coarse anyone would rather watch tv in their own home, but the "idea" of having a monitor in your car is futuristic and is mainly for show or bragging rights...thats all Im saying

Thats choice! I like the idea of having a separate cd-player and tv screen, because from previous experience the single unit type suck imo

i would love to have a dvd player + screen in my car... before in my other car i used to bring a laptop with me and rest it on the center arm rest thing and play a movie while i sit at the back seats with a girl and do stuff.. but with a built in dvd player/screen, no need for the labtop.. so it's not ALL for show and bragging rights! it has functionality too

might be a tad too small for the people in the back seat tho...

would be sweet if it had navigation too, besides a dvd mp3 disc holds way more than a standerd 700mb cd, hours upon hours of music on a long trip is useful

i see having navigation being a definitely useful tool while driving... but movies are dangerous from a drivers perspective connect a ps2 up to it and have a passenger drive a gt4 on gran turismo while in your celi...lol if your speakers are loud enough you could get a old muscle car or something in the game and have some pretty unique sounding exhaust lol

My friend just brought his car to get his seat belts fixed. They let him drive a acura TSX for the day. It came with a Navi Screen. First time seeing it first hand. Its pretty distracting. I keep looking at the screen watching the red arrow move as I move. Cool, but distracting. hahah.

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_image...391_62_full.jpg

theres mine, touch screen w/ pulse back, dvd mp3, ipod link have the xbox/ps2 under the pass seat, friends play games w/ that sounds coming from the right side of car, my ipod stuff coming from left side, or mix. i love the setup, also has nav, backup cam, & a bunch of inputs including high speed ipod, iriver for when teh gf wants her music. i love the screen, very easy to use, made a lil motorized mount so it tucks into the dash n a lil cover goes over it for antitheft/sun blocking purposes. also one button to get to sub control for switching from punk-rock-rap etc.

you can also play a dvd (porn or action movie depending on how cheesy you wanna be) for video, & have your ipod or cd be the audio, or make a custom 3d animation in like 3dsmax n have that loop over. the possibilties are endless!!!!

I like it, my cousin has one like it. He and my boyfriend used to work together and they'd use his truck to get around, the TV reeeeally came in handy when they were stuck in traffic or hit a drive-thru for lunch and had to just find a place to park up to eat. Also came in really handy when he'd drive us down to the beach to go out on the boat and we'd have to sit there waiting for everyone else...

why do girls put makeup on when they're going to go swimming?!?!?

anyways, like I said, I like it biggrin.gif
