well after two days of an intense puzzle known as wiring.. i have all but one connecter identified and plugged in. It is at the driver side of the intake manifold and i cannot seem to locate the other place to hook it in. Im guessing its a sensor or something that i dont have but im not sure.. here are some pics:
![]() ![]() ALSO: what do i do about this oxygen sensor ? it is the lower of the two on the Down pipe:

the blue plug is for the TVSV, its the round canister on the back of the intake manifold.
its the factory boost controller. the one in the DP is an egt temp sensor. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

ok im going to leave the dp temp sensor unplugged,
buttt here is my new problem, i have a grey connector that fits the same as the blue so i had it where the blue was supposed to be. in the process of removing the grey connector from the boost controller thing, i broke part of the boost controller thing.. what are my options (fast) for the broken part... can i leave it out? can i replace it with an aftermarket controller etc... also where does this grey connection go now!?! haha thanks for the help ![]() ![]() ![]() the wire colors for the grey one are: black with a yellow stripe and blue with a yellow stripe |

Later, you can just replace it with a resistor to fool the ECU that the TVSV is still there and use a an aftermarket boost controller. -Charlie -------------------- 2003 Subaru WRX Wagon

OK
i have that one gray plug left, and i traced the wires to the 26 pin connector for the ECU. the two wires coming from the gray plug go into the 3rd, and 23rd spots on the ecu plug. I looked at my USDM wiring chart for the 3sgte and it says the #3 pin goes to the ignitor.. and that there is no pin in the 23rd spot.. my engine is a 93 JDM all trac.. anyone know if this plug goes anywhere, or where it might go? PS: it is the gray plug in the pics above This post has been edited by jcbass7: Jun 29, 2006 - 3:54 PM |

if thats the TVIS in one of the pics above, then the blue one goes there, but the blue and gray plugs both have the exact same connector, and i can't find a single gray connector like that in my wiring diagram... i emailed doc tweak about it since he did my wiring, but haven't heard back yet..
what baffles me is that in my wiring diagram one of the wires from that plug goes into pin # 3 on the largest ecu plug.. the book states its a wire that leads to the ignitor... but my ignitor is already hooked up. this is the only thing holding me up from dropping the beast in so i hope i figure it out soon thanks for the help so far everyone hmm wait whats the difference between a TVIS and TVSV maybe one goes to one and the other to the other.. if so then i think i may be missing one of the two.. i have whatever it is in the pic abaove thats broken.. if anyone has a pic of both that may help |

ok so after looking far into my coupe i found that the gray plug is a plug from the 5sfe harness and plugs into this:
![]() now do i transfer this over to the 3sgte?? the 3sgte already has this orangeish brown one that is very similiar: ![]() do i// A. hook up the one from the 5sfe too? (if so where do i free up the extra vac lines? B. leave it unplugged C. plug it in but do not plug in vac lines? D. something else i can't think of... Thanks guys |

PS: my diagrams say that the one off of the 5sfe is the VSV( for EGR)
