I get frequent emails requests on parts. People ask for the following:

- Carbon covers for various engine parts * no interest

- Carbon cooling plates * no interest

- C-One rear lip * no interest

- Carbon door panel

- New style hood

- carbon hatch * needs more than just a few interested members

- New side skirts

- Carbon front splitter

- Carbon door handles

- Carbon Type V wing

- Carbon door sills?

- Projector headlights

- clear bumper lens 94-95 model

If there are many people interested in one item, I can consider it being done. If anyone else have any other ideas. PM me so I can extend this list, then later on everyone can vote on one thing.

Hope this can help you guys out.

roof spoilers, duck tails for hatch backs, sideskirts of some kind, entire rear bumper, carbon hatches, new style hood, DOORS(or maybe just the door panels in CF

i'd even vote in most things in solid fiberglass of good construction instead of CF cause of cost and versatility

cf, aluminum, or stainless sill plates
cf rear "cargo covers" for hatches (just an idea)
fiberglass sub enclousures htat fit the countour of the truk/hatch ( a conservative size of course and wrappes in vinyl/fabric)
DEF DUCKBILL SPOILER PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DUCKBILL!
also duckbills for the top of the hatch
also a CF roof panel would be cool!
and maybe you could try tome projector style headlights like all the civics and stuff or the ones doggy made

stay away from varis kit replicas...that would probably ruin the complete idolitry(sp) of that kit...if you want a varis save up for a varis but thats one kit i'd rather not see degraded like the rest of them..

That kit is too expensive, mostly because its made out of the country, and it is def. the best looking front for 6gc, I don't think that if boosted made few copies it would suddenly be all over ebay such.

boosted what parts for 6gc do you currently offer?

I vote for Varis arising II front bumper replica, shiny door sills smile.gif , projectors, LED tail lights, rear bumper thats unlike veilside, engine dress up parts sound nice too

I agree with you there Dan:)

The kit is expensive because it is made in Japan.
They have stricter quality control.
Most of the JDM stuff are expensive, because of the quality.
If boosted made a few copies, sooner down the track,
it will be all over ebay. I've no doubted about that.
No one would've known the Veilside would end up that way,
but it did.

its expensive for a reason...#1) quality #2) availability #3) to limit the amount of people that will have it...

and i like that fact...it would really suck to see a bunch of nock off arising kits at meets like we do gt4 look alikes

The kit is definately NOT going on ebay. Mainly low key available for the 6gc market. But Playr158 still has a good point.

Only front that looks good now is the C-one but they are very hard to come by. My next shipment of those are coming in this week but due to limited quantities they are already sold to various 6gc members. Kits in adbundance would be the vaders, Type 404 lips etc..

I can have the Varis bumper done, but that is totally up to you guys.

-------------------------

Someone mentioned make the cargo covers in Carbon. I have done that for other cars and its not that bad of an idea and is a good start.

-------------------------

The door sills would be made in carbon, probably not Aluminum

-------------------------

Carbon hatches can be done, but I don't think that's a good start at the moment.

--------------------------

Some people mentioned new skirts? If so which kind?

---------------------------

Varis wing is something that can be done. I just need the authentic varis wing.

------------------------------

A new hood for 94-98 celica is possible. Just need pictures of the design.

------------------------------

Carbon Door panel

I updated some of the suggestions to the box above if any one else has something to add. PM or email me.

Thanks!

CF sources arn't being said due to situations in the world atm its hard to come by when you do get some for a door handle i have some left over from a project that wouldn't do just fine cause its a small piece

if you want to start out with something i would suggest starter pieces as

CF door sills (the long piece)
then anything below in carbon or fiberglass
~door panels
~roof spoiler
~sideskirts

those are the 4 top things i could thing of that would be good starters

almost all car parts for our cars are "rare." and sorry...i think paying 2,500 dollars for a body kit is crazy (with paint) and just stupid. playr says if u want a varis kit just save up for it? If i save up nearly 3,000 dollars, u d*mn well better be sure that im not spending it on a body kit. costs of some jdm products are just assinine and even if they made custom projectors or varis replicas, i would bet that not even 20% of the people on this site would get them so they'd still be "rare." How many hooked up 6gens do u even see on the roads? NOT MANY. So for those that dont want these products duplicated cuz it'd ruin the rareness...get real.

You'll be degrading it because every Celica will soon have one,
and there will be no uniqueness anymore. Hence the reason why
I've saved up for one, because the Veilside is getting a bit repetitive.

my bad brian, i meant JDM projectors smile.gif I wasn't thinking of other pprojectors because I'm actually calling some places to see what they can come up with for the rest of 6gc when I get a bit of free time... I'm workin some 12 hr shifts so I'm dead tired and a lot of places are closed when I get done. I would love to see more aftermarket headlight options for the 6gc... I just do not wanna see jdm projectors so common that I lose my desire to own a set when I have a second celi biggrin.gif

when i said projectors i sais like the civic type...not exactly like the JDM's ..i would never think of doing htat..and as for tail lights I would like something different than JDM but more design to em...but not as far as afterburners(ewww) and plaus if someone does have a replica set all you have to say is "yeah but they are REPLICAS" and then watch them walk away with their head hanging low:P

O god please no varis, projectors, or jdm items.... rare items should stay that way.... cf hatches would only be cost effective IF you get the plexiglass window in the hatch. I think you have a good thing going on boosted... keep it up man. smile.gif

almost all car parts for our cars are "rare." and sorry...i think paying 2,500 dollars for a body kit is crazy (with paint) and just stupid. playr says if u want a varis kit just save up for it? If i save up nearly 3,000 dollars, u d*mn well better be sure that im not spending it on a body kit. costs of some jdm products are just assinine and even if they made custom projectors or varis replicas, i would bet that not even 20% of the people on this site would get them so they'd still be "rare." How many hooked up 6gens do u even see on the roads? NOT MANY. So for those that dont want these products duplicated cuz it'd ruin the rareness...get real.

well if you think its stupid and crazy then thats your issue...go buy a knock off invader or c-one...they are pretty common and seen...and if you don't wanna spend 3 grand on a bodykit well thats your deal..i'm spending 3 grand on just rims alone? if you want cheap stuff then your in the wrong hobby....quality parts cost money...JDM parts cost MONEY...rare pieces cost MONEY....and i can defenitly see the VARIS kit if replica'd would turn into a pretty commonly seen piece just like i see c-one knocks quiet often..and invaders..but at an EC meet a GT4 look alike well..its pretty common place...JDM tails are the standard and USDM tails are less likely to be found...things loose their value as more people get them...the VARIS kit if replica'd would lose its value to the community as a whole if we start seeing it pop up every where...we can't go knocking off everything we can get our hands on otherwise things do become too common place and not as ideal to people....so all in all we must keep a certain standard of value within this community to see that quality and displacement are kept in balance and that we don't let things become devalued and less then wat we as owners should expect...instead of spending time trying to knock wat someone has once already made..why not try and use the gifts god gave us for a valued purpose and come up with something original, new and most of all a collective piece by the community...

i agree. rare things should stay that way. i mean, how many different versions are the for the vader kit? and not that it doesn't impress me anymore, still pretty nice but its just a common kit among 6gc's. i wouldn't want the same thing to happen to something as hot and rare as the varis kit. it'd lose its appeal if you knew that 25 other celicas had the same kit.
anywho... back to the list. when i said i wanted custom projectors, i didn't mean jdm replicas. heck, they don't even have to be projectors. just clear lows and highs are good enough. anything's better than the frosted lenses. and that should keep the cost lower too.

I agree 100%!! make new kits or leave it alone. I have a knock off Veilside kit and it pains me to see them everywhere else, so much in fac that I almost hate my body kit

As much as I like the idea of al this stuff, I probably wouldnt buy anything. Everybody is putting kits and stuff onto their celicas, while im just going to keep mine stock looking as far as the body goes. I'll add rims, and maybe even lights but thats about it.

You guys are a little unrealistic when it comes to this varis kit loosing its "originality", like the other guy said, "get real" because you guys like to exaggerate...

first of all I feel lucky if i see one 6gc within in a week, not to mention a kitted 6gc.. ("everyone will soon have it" do you guys live in a land of 6gcs ?!?)

second of all the request was for just the front bumper, go on ebay and try to find just the front bumper for sale of either c-one or veil, you won't... now go figure how its even going to make it to ebay if at most 10-20 people from here would want a replica. NO it would not end up on ebay

Third the whole issue of originality and uniqness is per this (6gc.net) community because in real life 6gc are very rare. Would it be really that painful to see extra 15 varis celicas that are hundreds of miles away from where you live? I do not see a reason to pay $800 to have more original bumper than my buddy from the forums, for that kind of money you can have a totally unique bumper custom fitted from a supra for example.

I see this as a great one time opportunity to have something too expensive for an affordable price. No, 15 replicas will not affect rareness of that product, No it will not make it to ebay copycats, no it will not affect varis as a company because they made lots$$$ of selling that kit already and even 50 more purchases will not make them produce new parts for 6gc. Get real people rolleyes.gif

anything carbon fiber, i love the stuff :-p my list would be (in this order)
1) CF rear window spoiler/shade
2) CF Door handles
3) CF splitter for C-One front
4) Possibly CF hatch but I would need extra stuff since i have lifter blocks so...
5) CF Caliper covers? Sounds like it could be cool.

The only reason we see ALL these veilside knockoffs and these 404 kits and c-ones is because they're the only ones we have and DAN you're a hypocrite. Somebody that says to spend money for QUALITY products and u get a VIS, VEILSIDE knockoff? Please. This is gonna be my last post about this cuz im not the one tryin to prohibit the expansion of parts for our cars. Why didnt u guys go on stopping the JDM Tail group buy from happening? I mean since JDM parts should be RARE, then why let that go? I see a lot of hypocrites on this site. "Lets keep JDM parts rare cuz they're expensive. But lets have a group buy on JDM tails and JDM projectors, and lets make JDM sills replicas. But lets keep the body kits rare."

Personally, kitted cars are rare in themselves and to have 100 cars with Varis kits out of 10,000 cars is still gonna be rare and honestly i STILL dont see that many c-one kits on this site, let alone outside of this site. Im tryin to get more parts for our cars. End of discussion. This is boosteds decision.

Most likely if they made these replicas, im not gonna get it cuz im done modding my car. im saving up for somethin better and more practical. Im just tryin to get better parts for these cars.

look, even if he does make the varis kit, the amount available is limited to the amount he decides to make. so if he makes 25 kits, and all 25 get sold to members here, there won't be any on ebay, because they were all sold here. I don't think it'll degrade from the original. seriously, the will be less rare but they still will be extremely rare, and your chances of seeing one while you're just driving down the road is so incredibly rare unless you happen to live right by another member of this board who bought one. I mean, seriously, I've never even seen a 6gc with body kits on it other than on the internet! so really, it's not like you're going to see them everywhere like a kitted civic or anything like that.

anyway, here's what I'd like to see:

whatever that piece is called, the plastic thing that surrounds your cd-player and the two center a/c vents, I'd like to see one of those in CF

fully CF shift knob, made for a 6gc so it just screws on, not with those silly adaptor things like the universal ones have, and the universal ones I see are always silver and CF, never fully CF. I'm thinking something like this shape: http://www.brandsports.com/images/TRD_leather_shift_knob.jpg but onlyt if this'll cost less than $50, I can't justify spending more than that on something like a shift knob.

CF cigarette lighter, doesn't have to be functional, just to make it fit the CF scheme I want to do for my interior tongue.gif

+1 for CF cargo cover

maybe an alternative to the SSIII front splitters. Same concept, different design.

that's all I came up with right now, maybe I'll think of more later

Hm. Even tho I don't have a celi any more, I'll chime in.

Deff some different styles of projectors and tails.

Different hoods (maybe something like the TRD supra hood for a Celi?)

CF mirrors!!!

Also, the vibe I see on "rare" parts is: "You shouldn't have them unless you can afford to spend lots of money on them." rolleyes.gif Our (formerly my) cars are rare already and getting more rare every day and wreck. I have NEVER seen a hooked up 6th Gen. I've seen ONE 5th Gen and all it had was body kit, rims, and tire well LEDs. Granted, the last thing ANY of us want to see is our cars demoted to Civic status, but why shouldn't everybody have a shot at whatever they want for their rides?

You guys, I think you should realize...

I THINK boosted is not asking us what we want completely scratch (custom parts), he is asking what EXISTING parts we would like replicated.

Thats what i thought too.

Either way i'm interested in
door sills, cooling plate and covers for engine parts (pref. in aluminium or stainless instead of cf)
C-one rear lip OR any custom rear lip OR 404 rear lip
custom hood
varis front bumper (would purchase right away biggrin.gif )

why dont we make/sticky a poll for new custom parts in b/s forum ??

Akimbo/ CilverSeliST205 ... It would be a lot easier to have to replicated but something simple like cf cooling plate or a wing that is off of another car but made to fit a celica would work. So if someone made something that fits a celica fine and mold could be made from it then mass produced.

Right now there are a lot of ideas in the air and just need 1 thing everyone would settle on. After that then we get into the payment and money part of it.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July celebration

Thanks

To make everything more clear, this question is for boosted, theres alot of people interested in projectors, would you be able to get some made or are you talking mainly about body parts as in like hoods, bumpers, etc. And as far as the body parts go could we get something custom, like from a design, or is that asking to much???

I also have a suggestion for the hood how about a GT-4 hood except it would be able to fit our celicas with no gap from the bumper.

Good question Santos. Projectors are doable, but require at least 10 people to commit and takes about a few months from raw materials to finished product. As far as any other products as long as someone has it or had it custom made that ALREADY fits the 6g then I can take that to make a mold then mass produce in carbon or other materials for the rest of you guys.

on a secondary note....one thing i would like to add in for the CF hatch is the option of having the OEM peices aka wipers, lights, and fluid shooter
or eliminating them..

i'm not sure on the degree of ease to make these holes there or not (personally i would like a completely shaved hatch free of any wiper, lights or shooters) but i know some people would like that option

the easiest way i could think is to have a fully shaved hatch (having the light as an option) and people self drill the other needed holes but i'm not sure how that would sit with the rest of the community

if you would make the hatches w/o the holes you could include templates for people that want the holes. OR just have an option for holes or no holes

as for the tails....my b-day is on the 22nd and i am getting some $$ so i am going to try and buy some soon!!!!
i'm still trying to find the right lights to go in it though

Boosted, how about making a front bumper hump with gt4 grill so that people can have gt4 hood and st/gt bumper that flush without the nasty gap ? The plastic grill is like 20$ from (toyota dealership i think) so if you got access to gt4 bumper it shouldnt be a problem to make something like that and I think a few people here would like gt4 hood + st/gt bumper - gap combination.

I like the supraesque tails but to be honest how about something more unique to our cars? Perhaps three lights would be better due to sizing issues? Also a CF hatch with a ducktail would be sweet too. If you came up with either of those for a decent price I would be in, that and a nice set of projectors.

- T Tops
- 1 windshield wiper conversion

Just a couple thoughts biggrin.gif

Down for the projectors though smile.gif

6gcSTVT What do you mean (1- windsheild wiper conversion)? You can do that custom. By just taking your passenger side one out. And then taking the drivers side out and adjust it to where it would reach the entire window.

looks like an eurou body kit. it'll be difficult to remold it for the st204 bumpers. though there already is an st204 type eurou kit already available..

I would enjoy a front bumper that would allow the use of a GT-4 hood.. one that isn't like Veilside, but not exactly GT-4.. Know what I mean?
