so i was installing my 7th gen shifter from ebay and by the time i was putting it all back together, i realized the shifter had an insane amount of play when you push it to the left, like the 'ball' would lift up inside the house on the shifter middle section... and i have no idea whats wrong, i put in the spacers and stuff but that wouldnt make a difference with that. any help would be appreciated... -Tony

well i left out the top piece that went over the shifter to keep the ball part of the shifter in from slipping out... obvious i know, but hell i was up till 5:30 am working on this so it was bound to happen lol
