We started sanding down the Blitz bumper and the D1 fenders and getting them ready for primer and paint today. I shaved the Side markers on the D1 fenders, and theyre almost ready for primer. Should have it all on by wednesday.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

***UPDATE***

1:30 in the morning:

Ive gotten the front end off and the fenders.

Well, i have ran into quite a few problems with the fenders. I have a pile of fiberglass about a foot high, and it has required more customization than it would have to just cut the vents in my stock fenders.

Still yet...i will make it work.

Has anyone else had this problem with the Z3's or bullet's???

PICS IN PROFILE.

3:30 in the morning: Fenders are mounted and on. FINALLY. the front end is still yet to go, but we should shoot through that with ease.

PICS IN PROFILE, one of the pics shows the front end sitting in the front of the car on two buckets...its not mounted.

Yea i had a few problems with my bullet fenders, the biggest one was up at the A pillar, it wouldnt line up properly, and then again where the fender ends and meets the edge of the light. The shape of my fender corner was different then the shape of the low beam. Looks good though, your doing great.

thanks man, the biggest problem ive had is gettin the lines perfect with the hood when its closed, they want to come together a little more than they should up front by the driver side low beam.

oh yeah, i also have to remove the crash bar to get the front end to work right.

yyes..teh crash bar needs to be removed......first thing i should of done is screw in the part where the front fender meets the front bumper underneath teh headlights..i think there should be 3..but i didnt drill those holes cuz im too lazy to do it..... biggrin.gif

when u mount your blitz in the front..kinda push down on the front part n have some one hold the sides so u can get an idea where the ends should mount up....kinda hard to explain..but ull get the picture when u do that step.....

well guys, its all finally together, the fenders and the front end are are, completely installed and under black primer. after i get my skirts, its going to be painted cobalt blue, the hood and the trunk is going to remain black , and im selling my Srt-4 wheels and getting some 17 inch bronze ones.

Its sits really low now and i have to watch what i do.

pics in profile.

What happen to the fender where it meets the door? Looks like its not fit right. Id fix that before you go and paint it. other than that it looks good.

must just be the picture, because everything lines up perfect. the only thing i had alot of trouble with as far as customizing goes was the bottom part of the fender behind the wheel. It was off horrible, and i ended cuttin off like 5 inches of fiberglass and molding another bracket on to make it work. Sadly enough, all the real work is covered up by primer and skirts.

yes i have put alot of work into it, thanks maskedman.

i thought that the curvature of the front end flowed very well with the vent on the fenders, like it was meant to go together.

of course, it will look alot better when i get my skirts and paint job too.
