Are you talking about a mk3 or mk4 supra ?? cause you prob wont find a damaged mk4 cause most of them are locked up in garages lol biggrin.gif their is some website that sells damaged and repairable cars...best chance is to call places or check websites and supra forums often... wink.gif

YOu know I've had that idea before too. Why not buy one wrecked, and restore it.

It's not as easy when it actually comes down to it.

But...Racewars is coming...

well, i found one supra that got the idea started. It was on supratrader.com or something like that, the guy said it was an insurance settlement, the car was stolen, headlights bumper, radio, rims, ect. But it looks like it only needed about $4000 worth of repairs and the guy wanted $4500 for it. So that would be $8500 for a TT supra.

http://readytofix.com/

I have heard that the site is OK, but never bought anything. So be carefull, but a whois on the domain confirms that it has been around for awhile.

I'm hoping to get a Supra after we get our house. Only next month, then I will have a garage and 3 times the space. biggrin.gif

They force the owners to sell the cars when one of two things happen.

1) They owe more than the car is worth and they are unable to buy it back.
2) Some people will pay friends to steal a car they cant afford anymore, so they can keep the parts and buy it back "damage" for pennies on the dollar. Also known as insurance fraud. biggrin.gif

But like I said, their loss is my gain potentially.

Follow the link and you will be prompted to sign in, you have to create a account. It costs $15.00 to get setup, and to be honest this is what made me stop. But you could get a visa gift card with only $15.00 and at the very worst you are out that and a bit of time.

I dunno.

Well Im assuming your buying a wrecked car because you do not have the funds to buy a Decent condition supra? Yes we have all thought about it. But Most of the ones on that site are fixable if you have alot of money. You will have more into it fixing it than getting a supra you can drive right when you purchase the vehicle. I meen honestly when was the last time you seen a supra in a junkyard.... Body panals + part = $$$$

its not fun buying one perfect, i like fixing things. I want a project car, so when im done I either feel like I personally restored something great, or feel like a complete idiot for wasting $8,000 on a bunch of metal
