ok guys, i have black doors due to getting power windows from marks car and realizing its a huge pita to transfer them to my doors, i planned on getting the whole car painted this summer but funds are limited.

i want to paint the doors red myself, i figure that even if the shade doesnt match, it will look better than black, cause they stand out like a sore thumb..

does anyone have any ideas for a good rattle can that would make this look ok?

the other opinion i need is that do you guys think it would look worse with rattle canned red doors or real painted black doors..

i still plan on getting it painted just other things come first, and i really dont wanna bring the car up to school with a 3sgte engine and black doors frown.gif

Wrap them in CF.

Wrap them in CF.

That's not really answering the question.

& bump a bit.

This was posted a few months back. http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showfl...=0&fpart=1&vc=1

Maybe you could do that?

check with your local automotive paint dealer. they may be able to prepare you a couple of spray bombs or shutz cans that are a perfect match.

brian, my local automotive paint place can make custom cans of paint.
basicly you go in and give them the paint code, and they can make you a rattle can of the color.
IIRC they run about 23$

for a basic repaint no dent repairs , sand with 320 grit with a da sander , then seal , base , clear , wetsand if needed , and buff , , thats the way i was trained for 2 years in collision repair at college and its quiker then sanding to 1000 grit and with anything over 500 wetsanding you are really risking adhesion problems , thats my 2 cents
