So, ive been having some issues with my oil lately and i think that it may have caused my last 2 cylinder heads. Any ways, i found that my exhaust piping was hittin my oil pan..or coming almost incontact with it. So that was heating up the oil quite a bit..plus with the excessive heat from my headers, it wasnt helping the situation either. SO, i decided to go out and buy a oil cooler kit. i got the flex-a-lite 3951 kit from my work..nice full kit.

So, when i went to fit the oil cooler in..i couldnt find a good place to mount it due to its size and due to the cross beam in our rad support. So, i zipp tied it to the cross beam, and to one of the A/C lines, ran the lines up through the side of the fender near the wash fluid resovior, up, cut the lines, attached the sandwitch plate when i was doing an oil change..and done. Such an easy install, but just time consuming. very worth while. Ill post pics of it when i can find my camera.

also..to make it a bit more stealth, i spray painted it black with highheat paint.

you do know the GT comes equipped with a more than adequate oil cooler from the factory, right?
its sandwiched between your oil filter and your block.
