what is it gonna take to put a 97+ red top 3sge beams engine in a 95 ST am i going to need a boat load of part like a 3sgte swap or will it go a little easier some please help me figure out what i need

Yeah, same as the 3SGTE swap, but you don't need to worry about the transmission since the 3SGE will come with it, and you don't need to worry about intercooler, piping, clamps, couplers, etc. Everything else is pretty much the same.

yes indeed.....he would have a few issues with the engine mounts though right? arent the ST mounts different/located than the GT?

yeah the motor mounts will be one of the main trouble. But since it seems that money is not much of an issue, he'll be able to afford to change around the mount setup on the car. Honestly, it's pretty sick to go n/a with the choice of putting in a beams redtop. That's the perfect choice for an n/a setup over the 20v 4age. More power output from the beams engine. I like the decision your making 4banger wink.gif

hahah in this guy's case, money no issue, i'd make it black-top BEAMS and rear wheel drive.....basically the whole Altezza RS200 drive line......heheheh incidentally thats also my evil plan for this AE86 project im thinking about

Does the blacktop also use the 3S block? If so then it should bolt to the S54 tranny in ourt cars.

blacktop and redtop are pretty much the same thing, except blacktop has dual vvti. Other problems include waterlines and the intake and exhaust manifolds. It should bolt onto the S54 cause it's pretty much the same engine...
