I have been Working on my celica but the old paint is bad very bad in the previous body shop that have been painted they didn't use hardener so the paint is peeling off like vynil :S that's pretty bad and from them im goin to start sanding to bare metal i need to now how i can do this with 220 grit? i'm using polishing machine wheel smile.gif for doing the work more easy

if your going down to bare metal you can ude 80/100 grit. your going to want to get a elf etching primer to use after you sand because that is what you want to have smooth enought to make a good finish and rough enough for tha paint to adhere (sp) to.

find an orbital sander so that you don't score the body metal. most polishing wheels are to fast and can cause "swirl" burns in the metal. orbital sander gives a smoother finish
