ok two questions, i need a cheap and easy recirc valve cause i dont really mind not having the cool sound, and id rather my car run as smoothly as possible..

my friend got one from forge motorsports, he really likes it, my question is whats the easiest and cheapest way to attatch a valve like this? get a piece of straight pipe and have a nipple pressed in? then connect the nipple to the BOV with a hose?

im also thinking about the greddy rs, a little more expensive though.

the stock BPV would be nice too but i dont think theres a clean and easy way to get that to work with my FMIC piping.

Does the celica actually run smoother with a recirculation? Just am curious, because I thought on a MAP car it wouldn't make any difference.

forge is good...its a diverter valve...i personally recommend the Forge 007 DV

and yes basically take a piece of your intercooler pipe and have a 1" diameter pipe about 2" long welded onto it to make a "T"

you can clamp a hose to that "T" and then to the diverter valve..and then do the same T thing for your intake hose and run a hose from the DV to teh intake..

and he has a 3sgte motor which is AFM/MAF 2nd gen..

Brian,

I've got one that would be perfect for you, it's a Bosch turbo bypass valve, basically the same thing you'd find on a Porche Turbo. It had a 1" inlet and outlet, so it's very easy to recirculate. In fact, all you have to do is drill and tap a 1" hose barb onto the intake charge pipe, one onto the turbo inlet pipe, and then connect the two 1" hoses.

It's $75 shipped.

I think most cars with re-circ valves actually perform a lot better than just having a blow-off valve. Because in theory the boost escapes into the air with a BOV, but if you have a re-circ it also goes back into the turbo so the boost is there. If you have both it's even better since 1 can protect the turbo from ova boost and yet have that power.
