I went down to trick engineering the other day and they said they could fully turbo my car for 5k. Anyone have any opinions of the price? And not just throw a turbo on BS either-this S**T's full out.

i dont know mannnnn. With 5k you could damn near have a 3s in your car. But its all about what you want. if you want a turbo a 5s then go for it.

5K just for a turbo? what else they gonna add? If they threw in a 3S that'd be a sweet deal

Definately get a complete parts list of what they are planning on installing. Once you have that we can give you an answer.

You definately should find out about turbo parts, everything you mentioned is basically just giving you an engine that is ready to be turboed.

You should find out about what they plan to do for fuel management, definately will need a bigger fuel pump, injectors, either piggyback or EMS. Also should have some sort of intercooling I would hope.

What are your goals in terms of boost? HP?

Definately read the stickies and understand what has to be done as a minimum.

Also looking at their website, they appear to be mostly Honda tuners and have no Toyota customer vehicles listed.

IMO opinion, that estimate is WAY high....i could prolly do it for a little more than half that, depending on what parts you wanted to use.

wow it sounds like there wanting to totaly overhaul your whole engine!! i guess if thats what you want to do, but all thats not neccesary to turbo your 5s, unless you are wanting to turn that thing into a beastly 5s smile.gif..but for that kind of money you should just swap it wink.gif

dont waiste your money trying to turn an economy motor into somthing its not.
not 5k anyways. you can build your own 5sfte much cheaper. for 5k save up a little more and go with a 3s if power and a better platform is what you want.
