i dont know if anybody has thought of this before but has anybody ever takken window tint and put it over the tailights, i know u would have to remove the black strips that run down the GT tailights in-between the ambber part and the red part of the lights. then u could apply the tint over the tailights, cut it were nessary and then put that black piece over the top of the tailights again, id thinks id look sweet smile.gif

my friend who owns a 06 miata layed some tint on his tails, heads....it looks pretty hot...yea the "lumps" would be difficult to cut...but jus use heat gun n make it felt so u can cut around the edges of the "lumps" between the amber n red parts

nah dont use the tints they use for windows.. youll get a better end result by using a tint spray instead.. i used VHT's NightShade Spray and this is what i got..

but make sure if you DO use tint spray, to get clear acrylic spray and put about a layer or two on top of the tint spray so it doesnt chip and stuff.. dont worry about making mistakes.. just make sure you shake the bottle of tint spray for 2 minutes straight vigorously then take a piece of card board and practice going left to right.. when you actually do this on the tail light put one full layer by going left and right with the spray about 12 inches away.. then let it sit then dry.. THEN keep putting on other layers if you want to make it darker.. mine are pitch black but theyre still bright at night and you can still see the brake lights perfectly during the day.. good luck on your choice :]

Just get the spray tint. soooooo much easier. Just pull out the tails, mask off what you dont want, and do like 2-3 coats of the stuff. Nightshades and VHT both make good stuff, then if you want you can put some clear coat on it to make it niiiiice and shiiiny. Very very easy. and this way, you can control how dark you want the tint by how many coats you use.

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?
