Define good. Swap a 2zz in it and its way fun. Its light and handles like a dream. Kinda lacks in the power department but oh well. Still fun in my opinion.

I think the stock ST is rated at 115 hp at the crank. GT is 135.

no difference under the hood. but you should consider yourself lucky. if you had gotten a 96+ st, you'd only have 105 hp.

Id get an mr2 and do an engine swap down the road. They are the best handling of all the gens just a bit underpowered in stock form.

MR2 isn't really practical as far as space goes but it's a great driver's car and really fun.

you know... for about the same price as these, you could have a GT-four imported? just find that thread in general discussion.

tC's are heavy, but you can supercharge them with a Blitz kit and get some decent numbers.

i'd go with an MR-S, add a hard-top for it, and swap a 2zz-ge in to it, myself. definitely unique, but lots of $$$.

turbo GT celica's make at least 200hp, you could also try that out.

Scion. Easily the most practical car there with the most creature comforts. You're also going to get the most for your dollar.

The only downside is that it's the doggiest performer of the three and it's fastly gaining a reputation as a chick car.

The MRS is the most underrated car ever. Why? There was a lot of passion for the MR2 Turbo and too many people pass this one off at first glance. Anyone who says it's not "powerful" enough has never driven one, because I can guarantee you that it's the most properly balanced car that you can get for your dollar out there right now. The interior is kind of spartan, but I like that in my cars. The only drawback is it's good for nothing else beyond driving. No driving in bad conditions, no storage, no passenegers, high insurance, and a history of being a popular car to steal. Be sure to get an 03+ with stock LSD, better seats, and slightly better styling. Stay away from that e-manual crap or whatever it is.

And 7th gen... well not it's kind of a compromise between the other two, now isn't it?

^ what he said.

i consider an MR-S to be somewhat of a toy, it isn't 100% practical if you live a normal life and have to go grocery shopping, or have more than 1 person in your car.

also, i wouldn't wish the feeling of getting squirrely (breaking tires loose) on an MR-2 on anyone, either. it really is freaky the first time you experience it, because 99.99% of the people on the planet aren't used to mid engine, rear wheel drive cars.

apexi? lol
Autobacs is the best MR-S ever, but supposedly a 3S swap is No piece of cake for it frown.gif
i've thought about getting the MR-S a lot, and i've decided i can't live with one without being able to make it pretty fast, and by that time i'm in some bad debt...
