So ya, I have been tossing around the idea of selling the GT-Four, she is a great car and is running great now but it is more I have way too many cars to keep them all up. I mean this winter I am building a Delorean w/ a rotary in it along with refitting my RX-7 for SCCA track use and just don't have the time to give the car the love it needs. And this isn't the only one going I am selling my Jeep too. I already sold my old Corvette and handed off 2 other RX-7's. Ya I had a problem, leave me alone. Anyone interested let me know, I haven't settled on a price because the car isn't ready for sale, I am going to finish the brake job and some other little things before I sell it, so looking around November to put it up. Any questions can be posted, PMed or emailed to otakurx@gmail.com. If you are in a different state I don't know how your emissions are so you may need to install a cat on the car, NH doesn't have an emissions check really so I stripped it of that.
Peace, Mike PS: Pictures of the rebuild can be found here http://zatoichi.is-a-geek.org/celcia/index2.html -------------------- 1995 Celica GT-Four

Sorry about the link, just fixed it. The car has a fresh motor in it (only maybe 2000 miles on it). The car itself has 58000miles on it. I have a spare transmission, the old blown block, another head and various other parts for the car. We basically restored the car. The car has a Blitz Access ECU that seems to be malfunctioning (not advancing the timing) so I was originally planning to put a Motec M4 from Fensport in the UK in her. The car is a real GT-Four from Japan, RHD and all. It costs as much as anyother car now, and every state has their requirements for inspections NH is very lax on it. It should be fine in any state other then Cali as long as a cat is put on the car. Due to the cars rareity I am looking for around $20,000 esp with a fresh motor and turbo and the head work which has been done. But I will consider any reasonable offer.
Things not done: rear break rebuild (I have the parts including new rotors and pads) Exhaust has a leak ECU has an internal error (blitz won't respond) so replacing w/ a motec Wheels could use some paint Things Done: Engine rebuild Port and polished head HKS intake HKS EVC 3 boost controller GT35 hybrid turbo 3" downpipe Pioneer stereo 850cc injectors Stage 3 clutch (have a spare too) lightweight steel flywheel Recaro seats Car alarm from Omega Parts: Rear brake parts inc. rotors Stage 3 Clutch Spare turbos (3x) Greddy Boost Guage old block (bored .40 over w/ pistons) Second head and intake and exhaust manifolds spare altinator New Carpet for front other random parts Chassis #: ET2053SGTE008262 -------------------- 1995 Celica GT-Four

I know manni it is horrible, but I can't maintain 4 cars and work part-time and goto school full time, and out of all my cars she is the one that is worth passing on. So I guess this could be a once in a life time opertunity. It is one of 2 in the states that I know of, yes it is fully legal titled and registered in NH. She was at the last Colt State Park meet, so there are some more pics in that thread.
I don't have one, but yes that would work too, but why go stock when you can go better ^.^ edit: I fixed the web link. That has great pics of the rebuild. edit2: ok I misspelled celica in the link, come on guys noone picked that up?!? http://zatoichi.is-a-geek.org/celica/index2.html This post has been edited by Watanbe88: Oct 9, 2006 - 8:45 AM -------------------- 1995 Celica GT-Four

Yes it is all set to drive anywhere, I have taken it to RI a few times now. It can spool as low as 2k but really kicks in between 2.5k 3k and holds solid to 7k with ease. I will think on the price then. I will say I think 12k would be on the low side (not saying too low so DON'T PANIC)

Well in reallity I will sell at any time, as for operating cost, the brake pads are the same as a 3000gt, the rotors are special order, and if you can keep yourself from turning up the boost above stock (.9bar which is what I run it at) she gets 27-28 mpg I can go from henniker, nh to bristol, ri on just over a quarter tank (tank is 16 US gallons). I would drop the price by not including all the spare parts. Remember just because it has the high power parts doesn't mean you have to use them to their full potential. I will grant you the car is 11 years old, but it is a special car, absolutely unique in the states, even the chassis is different then ours, the gt4 has like 4 times as many spot welds as a normal celica.
And to make it clear, as she is setup right now (all settings set to stock) she is running and stable, if you want to make the most of the way she is built she would need a new ECU. Which, if the car doesn't sell by november I will be putting in. As for price, my high is $20k everything included (note I have the manuals for the car) and I will go over everything and how it is hooked up and working when you come to get the car, really I am looking for around $15k for the whole package, but in ebay terms no buy it now at that price. I would want to meet the buyer because I have spent 2 years aquiring parts to bring her to like new status and want to know she is going to a good family. Before sale I will be giving the car a complete going over to make sure she is road worthy. I will have the cracked exhaust pipe fixed next week. The suspention is the TRD SuperStrut racing suspention that came on the rally car. As for legal in Texas, I don't know the inspection/registration laws down there. I have new radio trim and the mats in the back are nice carpet ones, and rubber ones in the front.

If you're willing to talk a more reasonable price, I'm open to discussion.
I would love to own this vehicle and keep it active within the close-knit 6GC.net community on the East Coast and give it a great home...Its a greatly unique car, and I would seriously be honored to keep it in the hands of my own caring ownership and some of the most knowledgable Celica wrenchers I know of. I hate to see something like this go up for sale on EBay or to somebody who just wants a "RHD JDM whip, yo" to flog around in and be cool in. ![]() I'm genuinely interested in this car for the long haul, and treating it like a collectors vehicle as the right owner should treat it. If top dollar is the primary concern in this sale, then perhaps I'm not your guy....But if you'd like to sell the car to the right owner who'll take immaculate care of such a unique vehicle then let me know, I'm your man. If you're interested just let me know and I'll look into this more seriously. Corey -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |

Ok, about price, lets look at how much it would cost to just bring another one in. Just buying it in europe will cost around $12k US, then shipping ~$2k, then import fees 15% tax on vehicles plus the cost of a registered importer. Then you have to get the paperwork done to put it on the street. So if you think my price is too high, go get your own, should only cost about $20k-25k to get it all set, or you can go through a company like Motorex and pay $50k or more.
And yes many parts (not the usually maintenance stuff) all has to be gotten from the UK or Japan. Also as has been pointed out, and I have realized now, this is not some cool car to just have and play around with. It is not easy to repair when broken, though has shown itself as a very reliable vehicle now. It will only stay that way if given the attention required of an exotic sports car. With that in mind, she will be all set for sale at the end of next week. She has an exhaust appointment to make on Wednesday. -------------------- 1995 Celica GT-Four

She has never been on the track since I have owned it, went autoXing once in it and that was insanely fun. The car was being built to be a show car, too rare/ valiable in the states to be trying to destroy it on the track or even pushing it on a dyno. Stock HP is about 255-260hp with the current setup she is pushing a bit over that (being I have eaten STI's and EVO's and C6 Vette's on the highways when playing a bit.

Not meaning to be negative here or anything but im just wondering what you are using to drive the 850 jectors?? On your list you haven’t mentioned anything.
The Blitz is the same as the OEM ECU, programmed for 550’s… If that’s all your relying on then I would say the block, rings, CAT & O2 sensor would be shot, if not then suffering badly from bore wash or the effects of it, then there’s your fuel consumption, you might as well throw the money into a fire. To all those looking to buy a faff the ownership costs are extreme to say the least: Oil change every 3K miles (Something like Silkolene Pro R 15w-50, 5 Litres @ around $20 per litre) Gearbox & diff oil every 9K miles (Something like Silkolene Silktran Syn 5, 7 litres @ around $22 per litre) Plugs every 2nd or 3rd oil change $86 Cam belt kit is $445, change every 60,000 on the clock (Don’t forget every time the water pump, oil pump, intercooler pump goes you need to change the cam belt & tensioner) Dizzy is $115 Rotor Arm for Dizzy is $25 Front brake discs are $372 a set Rear brake discs are $372 a set Front brake pads are $107 (2 corners = 4 x pads) Rear brake pads are $80 (2 corners = 4 x pads) Rear handbrake shoes are around $100 (2 corners = 4 x pads) Tyres, yes the myth is true, if one tyre goes bald all 4 have to be replaced (Unless you go for the same make/model & type of tyre). If your tyres last say 6K’s at 3K’s swap the rear tyres to the front to give them even wear & make them last longer, the faff is a true 50:50 split car not a 60:40 front bias!! If you swap just the front tyres or just the rear tyres you might get a confliction in the rolling radius which will eat your rear Diff for breakfast (See Diff price below) That’s your general maintenance service prices… Then you have the problematic parts that just die & die very often… Knock sensor $225(Only use a Toyota ST205 (MKIII MR2) sensor, there is a GM sensor cheapo fix but people in the UK who have tried them have killed their engines very quickly, the GM sensor is not as sensitive as the Toyota one. A good loud knock can blow a brand new Toyota sensor so have a few of these as spares to hand). Intercooler pump $884 Radiator $525 A single driveshaft new is around $1200 A single wheel bearing is $149 (Then you need 2 seals for it at $28 each) Total $205 A drive shaft boot/gaiter is $149… Yes $149 for a bit of rubber!!!! CV joint around $300 inc boot (You could get through a few of these puppies) Rear Diff around $1800 Gearbox around $900 second hand, the stock box is good for 600Bhp… only problem is the synchros are made of chocolate, don’t know how to stick shift?? Don’t use this car to learn, it will punish you & cost a fortune to repair. Now we get to the fabled super strut suspension… Fig 8 & lower arm number 1 needs to be changed when this goes $1710 total, but you maybe unlucky & have to replace lower arm number 2 $2584 total (I’m on my 3rd set of lower arms & fig 8’s, since I’ve owned the car). Fig 8 $204 (You need 2 of these) Lower Arm 1 $651 (You need 2 of these) Lower Arm 2 $437 (You need 2 of these) All of these are UK supply prices from Toyota Japan converted to US $’s, they are just for the PARTS you then need to pay for fitting & labour on top of that, at the moment Toyota UK charge £90 per hour labour which is around $167. Yes your local mechanic can do it cheaper blah, blah, blah but you will learn very quickly not to trust ANYONE to do ANYTHING on a faff that doesn’t know these cars inside out, it’s a very expensive mistake to make & you will only make it once trust me on that!! After all that the GT4 (All models) are a true driver cars, very satisfying to drive & a true beast on a track or gravel course. What I mean by a drivers car is that you as a person have to know how to drive to use it. Cars like the Superpoo & EVO are all controlled by a computer, any muppet can get in one & make it perform… with the GT4 it is all mechanical & skill pure & simple, if you don’t know how to drive on the edge then this is not the car for you ![]() |

i agree... why do you have 800cc injectors on a stock ecu? the blitz ecu may have some tweaks, but it cant control injectors that big. maybe this is why the car isn't running right?

> Watanbe88 > '95 GT-4 Hatchback > From Henniker, NH USA > The car has a Blitz Access ECU that seems to be malfunctioning (not advancing the timing) Bummer. Is the Blitz ECU tuned for the 850's ? > so I was originally planning to put a Motec M4 from Fensport in the UK in her. Have U already bought the Motec, used ? New they a Pricey ??? Have U looked into the Hydra Nemesis as a less expensive solution ? http://www.mrcontrols.com/products/nemesis.htm They make an ST205 application. Hey, I'm sure your probably set on selling for the money, but Would you be interested in trading it for a street legal JDM st185 RC plus cash? if so, how much? My RC has about 79k miles on it, completely stock except for a turbo timer, and CD player. I just got my baby and am not sure if I want to sell or get rid of it, but I'd like to have a 205 and money isn;t really permiting right now.

and the cost of parts aint that high jdm_st205_wrc, most can be gotten state side if you know what to ask for. Other parts are serviceable, if you take the time to learn about them.
Near Columbus I believe. Ya I was sad to see her go, but she is in good hands. This post has been edited by Watanbe88: Oct 18, 2006 - 7:15 PM -------------------- 1995 Celica GT-Four
