If you hadnt noticed I like the clean and shaved look. And Im shooting for a Black and White theme, so far i think it looks pretty good. I dont have many big expensive things on my car just lots of little things that took a lot of time and energy, but it is worth it cause no one has a car like mine especially not an interior like mine.

Thanks, nope They are just three 194 LEDs(superstars), the real trick is the white paint actually, It reflects the light instead of absorbing it like the black did.

I like the toyota emblem, looks good, but I learned my lesson on stencils with my valve cover, i wont be do in more of that any time soon.

Im sure that silver will do very close to the same thing. Try it out and let us know.

When did you try the superstars? I heard that they recently redid the circuitry and if you had problems before you wont with the new ones. Mine have worked perfectly since I got them.

Thanks guys and girls, Im glad you like it too.

The panels started out smooth that texture is just from the enamel paint I used.

QUOTE
First off your the man because your interior is the s***. How did you make that switch panel? and how did you relocate the cigarette lighter?

The switch panel was not easy, mainly because of the size of the hazard switch and dimmer. the harzard switch fit without any modification but the dimmer had to be made considerably smaller. if you wanted to do this without all the work it would not be to difficult if you had the hazard, dimmer and maybe one or two other switches, this way it wouldnt be so cramped. The hazard switch has seven wires that connect it so youll have to extend them. i cut off the plug and put in extensions. Keep in mind that your turn signals will not work if the hazard button is not plugged in so dont try to drive in the middle of putting this in. the dimmer has 3 wires that have to be extended.

IPB Image
IPB Image
IPB Image

the cigarette lighter was really easy, I bought an auxiliary output kit at Walmart for 5 bucks(at autozone too) and just drilled the hole and connected the 2 wires to the existing cigarette lighter wires. I would recommend using a mutimeter to find the + - wires cuase I did it wrong the first time and blew a fuse.

im curious as to how you relocated the clock set buttons, on my clock they make a contact on the circuitry the display sits on.. i actually lost one of the prong buttons, so i was wanting to do something similar like yours only with small momentary switchs

well Its been a while since i posted in here and i figured it was time to update you all.

well I got some HIDs from Culpable04. I must say I really love them, I got 4500K they're the perfect color.

IPB Image
IPB Image

after that I thought that my car was too perfect so I decided to wreck it kindasad.gif
But it kinda turned into a blessing in disguise cause i got to do a lot of custom stuff while I was puting it back together.

this was my car on March 25 Wreck Thread
IPB Image

after that I Ive been spending every second, Im not at school or working, on my car.

I call this "Stage One"

IPB Image
IPB Image
IPB Image
I love Wetsanding! kindasad.gif It is so time consuming!
IPB Image

since I had the bumper off I decided to tackle another project, thanks to Shocker for the Insparation and tips.
IPB Image
I painted the bulb surround in the low beams so it would match the blue tint of the high beams i think it turned out sweet.
IPB Image
Plus the Black looks killer!
IPB Image

So after One month this is where Im at,

IPB Image
IPB Image
IPB Image
IPB Image

If you couldnt tell theres brand new Prime 040 (super white 2) paint on hood, bumper, fenders and passenger door.

Shaved:
door handle
marker lights
winshield squirters
emblem
licence plate

New black anodized aluminum grill

and there is a surprise under the hood but i forgot to take pics so you'll have to wait.

so thats Stage One, are you excited for Two and Three? biggrin.gif

They're from a 97 park avenue rolleyes.gif prolly doesnt help you guys. i got them in a junk yard. if you really want to do this, expect to spend the majority of a saturday, fabricating brackets and making sure it closes right. I spent well over 8 hours on those things kindasad.gif it was worth it though.

As ever, fantastic car.

You need to keep an eye on your radiator though..when they go brown like that it means that they are nearing the end of their life, it may well last for years, but still worth keeping an eye on for cracks etc.

again.....lovin the car.

Yes they are still shiny for now. they started out chrome and I only drove it about 10 mins coming home and now they are gold. they arent going to look real good in a couple weeks but Ill have my header wrap by then so I dont really care.

Koyo radiators are pretty much the best you can get..one day I`ll fit a Koyo to mine when I can afford one, expect to pay quite alot of money for one, but they are worth every penny/cent, but you`ll never need to buy another one baring any unforseen events. smile.gif

here's where I got my koyo:
http://intensepower.com/newkoyalrad.html
it was the cheapest I could find, but they had had it on sale for only $300. to be honest, I noticed no difference, the engine still gets just as hot, maybe it cools down a little faster after being driven, but that's about it...

iirc, when your radiator gets to be more of a yellowish color, it will need to be replaced soon. somewhat like this.

Actually I did do something, I cut a piece of clear plexi-glass and glued it into the place where the tinted piece of plastic is. them I used a purple notebook divider to turn the green clock light white. you can used what ever color you want.

they glow both green and blue.

if you noticed, i decided to not put in the triangular corner pieces in. I liked the look of just the three circles. I found a good use for them though wink.gif can you spot it?

lets see. tongue.gif

$150 for the Susension tech sway bars, got them as a package deal on my parts car.
sportlines $130 but have had them for a while, bought them from a member.
KYB's $200 but I made my dad a deal that if he bought me The struts for my car. that I would install the struts on his camry, the shop was going to charge him $720 to do his camry. I went online and ordered the struts for both of our cars for $516. so basically i got them free just had to install them for two cars. good deal for both of us biggrin.gif

I Bought them Brand new for only $105 a wheel smile.gif

IPB Image

I've been busy this weekend. I'm house sitting for my boss, And I got the key to the Bodyshop biggrin.gif Haven't left much.

IPB Image

Is header wrap supposed to darken?
Or should I have not started the car till it had dried? oh well whats done is done.
Looked cool steaming tongue.gif
IPB Image

So any way I wrapped my header and used the rest on the intake, probably won't make much of a difference though since its not a CAI.

IPB Image

Oh ya and this turned out pretty good
IPB Image
I Polished the aluminum part, it looks sweet. You can't really tell in the pic,
IPB Image

Two Words

ONE WIPER smile.gif

IPB Image
IPB Image
IPB Image
Heres what I filled the other hole with.
IPB Image
since I dont have them on the hood anymore
IPB Image
And yes it does actually work, although this link may not, if its doesnt Ill fix it when Im on my own computer.
IPB Image

Wow that turned out to be a really long post, tongue.gif thanks for looking

Did you save the Toyota emblems while you were at it? That's pretty cool about the antenna hole, although I do like my moon roof and I like the rear middle brake light. I definitely understand what you're saying about the head room though being 6' I'm always banging my head on something.

no gas cap cover any more/relocated filler neck?

How much is the roof costing you?..i got a car that had a solid roof in the first place, but the guy who first owned went out and bought some cheap after market sunroof that leaks now. I was gonna just get a patch pannel welded in, but the cheapest quote i got was $2500 just to do the work cuz they wanted to weld an entire new roof on it.

yep it completes my shaved look

You know how to weld? I did it myself, and yes I replaced the whole thing, welding a patch panel would warp the roof so bad you'd never get is straight again.
It cost me $200 for the roof with headliner, and the rest of the necessary bits.

well Here it is, finally!
my exterior project is basically done, pending new wheels and splitters.

I call it "Custom OEM" everything is factory except the tails but not one body panel is left alone.
oh ya and I have done 99% of it myself the only thing I didn't do was spray the paint.

Hope you like it as much as I do

Heres a list of what i have done

Shaved:
marker lights
all emblems
windshield squirters
front license plate
door handles
rear wiper
rear squirter
antenna
third brake light
gas door

removed third post from the spoiler
removed amber from jdm tails and painted them black

Replaced the roof with one w/o a moonroof

custom one-off swing-out-tail-light gas-door biggrin.gif
