3.5 " speakers. In a 6g celica, the fronts are 8" and the rears are 6.5" to 6.75", so taking those out is pointless, you could use them as a small midrange and place them in the side of the door, guys who have 8 speakers systems with 6 up front, can you a placement for them, but the reality is unless you use a cross over, and high pass them they are not going to to muchf ro your sound quality. If you don't want to cut the doors, then just keep them in the box.

It really wasn't much work for me to put my Boston Acoustics 6's in the doors and in the back panels. I work at Domino's Pizza and my friend and I just took some old dough trays and cut the rings out of those. It works pretty well. No abnormal rattling.

exactly the picture above is the area I was describng, and yes it will look skitty if oyu do a bad job. Remember though you will want to highpass the speaker, a 3.5" driver will lilkely only run down to 100 hz (forget what the factory specs, even a rockford fosgate rep. will tell you to be realisitc). That's the only decent locaiton for those size speakers,. You will have to use an inline bass blocker, or run it from an amp with a built in crossover. Some headunits can run at 2 ohm stable, so you might be able to wire them to the headunit.

Just a thought, but is there enough space to install them on the sides of the bottom center dash? (The bit painted silver in the pic). I've never really seen speakers there in a car before - not sure what it would do to sound having the speakers facing outwards rather than in towards the middle of the car.
