Yeah the rain is really sucking. 9" yesterday and 8" expected today. I work in the IT dept. of the Kent school District and my job yesterday was going around to the schools and relocating computers. It was fun. About 5 schools flooded and a sink hole opened up in one school's parking lot.

Sorry to hear about your house frown.gif

yeah we have flood insurence... have to since we live on a flood plain...

but yeah I actually got word on the condition of our house...

Only an inch got in, which is surprising cuz my house was sitting there in like 5-6 feet of water... Some of the carpet is just really damp, and a lot of it is still dry... so... Sweet Deal! My house didnt get too mangled lol

this was the 1st flood I've ever been through... it was crazy. Cuz when I got back from work, I was told to get things cleared outa my room and up on higher places if I didnt want them to get destroyed. Then when we went to take our lexus to higher grounds, cuz we heard it was beginning to flood in the main parts of town real bad... well we left the house and there were just a buncha puddles everywhere... we come back like 10-15 minutes later, and my neighborhood was already under like 3-5 inches of water... that was the last time i saw my house, but last time I heard from a friend who stayed back home, who happened to walk right through our neighborhood, our house was under like 5 feet of water

I heard that in the the water rose up 5 1/2 feet in less than a half hour or hour or somethin... it was pretty crazy...

but everything is fine! smile.gif
