i used to play CS all the time but now i wonder what was so good about it...it just seems so ridiculously boring to me now....nothing to talk about or interesting ever happens and its always the same thing. wow i got a headshot or wow i killed 3 ppl vs 1....no offense..but what else is there?

I've heard of World of Warcraft, and I know its been out for a while but how is it? Is it a strategic real-time type of game? I've also heard that Company of Heroes is a good game that has similar gameplay.

World of Warcraft is a semi-strategic game, but not the kind im guessing your thinking of like command and conquer/ age of empires. Its a MMORPG or massive multiplayer online role playing game where you have your own character that you train and progress with through the storyline, of which you can pick 8 races on 2 seperate factions rather than commanding entire armies. Its a great game if your into fantasy type stuff.

edit: im not making fun of you, i was in it for a while too, and we were absolutely amazing, but that was a LONG long time ago. Pre-1.6 era. I have played CS since early release for Half-Life. Nobody ever believes it but it's true. Same with DoD. I can tell you all about em. I didn't know people were still into cal really.

I just downloaded the AOE3 demo last night to see if its any good.
Strangely enough I just got a new laptop with an AMD Turion64 X2 TP50 processor which is meant to be 1.6ghz, yet the AOE3 demo says I've only got a 1.1Ghz processor. I found this a bit odd.
Anyway means I'll have to turn some settings down but I'll give it a try tomorrow and see if I like it.

Played AOE2 recently so how much difference is it to this?
