Hey guys i have 1994 cellica which is getting painted in the spring sometime, i'd really like to put a body kit on it, but my budget is limited.. I need a kit that would fit pretty well this way i wouldn't have to spend tons of money on installing it.. I was looking at a 300$ kit on Sportcompactonly.com but don't know how well it would fit.. How much about does it cost to get a kit on? Like how many hours would this take a shop.. Because the guy at macco said they'd install it, but he said he just goes by how many hours it takes them, so i figure if i get one that fits pretty well i won't spend tons of money installing it.. Ok now on ti my next things.. I read the how-to's on how to change your guage bulbs and the color of the other lighting, but how hard is it really to change the gauge blubs? Becuase i'd really like to but i'm afaid since i don't know much about electronics in cars that i won't be able to do it.. Thanks for any help. -cnelson.

READ THIS !!
that will help you wth your bodykit question. if you don't have the money/time to do the bodwork required to make a kit fit properly or the money to get a decent one then just paint the car as it is ans save some money for the kit or lip kit that you can add later. there is not cheap way around it unless you don't care how it looks after is done. where in NJ are you ? -------------------- ![]() |

You get what you pay for buddy. You cheap out, its gonna fit like crap or your going to have a 2nd rate body man. ^ Culpable said it right, there is no cheap way around it.

As for the gauge lighting, it's fairly easy. just the matter of pulling out the bulb and putting in the new one. i think it was climate control lighting you actually have to modify the bulb to get it in, so id say the climate control lighting is the hardest one. but then again i havnt tried the climate control yet

I'm around Toms River, Bayville to be exact.. My friend said him and his dad might be able to install the kit.. But what kits will fit fairly desent? And i wanna do the kit before the paint because it'd just cost more in the long run to paint the kit afer the car had already been painted. My friend and his dad work on a lot of cars, but mostly engine stuff.. should i even trust them in letting them install it? -cnelson.

I don't know if it would look good with just the front bumper or not. But before you do anything just take your time with this. I was always in a hurry to do my exterior and bodykit and stuff. But i learned that waiting and having patients for things is a better thing. I got my kit from boosted6gc <-(great seller and great products) The products that he sells are from VIS so if your really wanting good fitment products i would probably buy from him. Almost every bodykit you buy is going to need some fitment.

No, i think your right.. Take my time.. I'd rather wait a couple months save up some money then get it done. Is it hard to match paint if i got the car painted first? -cnelson.

If ur seriously considering body kit, just wait till u can affrod the whole kit and paint. -------------------- Note to new members. Discussions such as the ones below are forbidden.

cuobilbe i'll take some pics for you today and post them this afternoon. How much did it cost you to put your front bumber on? Thats not stock right? And i don't think you have side skirts and a rear kit also do you? Cause if not i think your car looks fine without the rear and side.. -cnelson.

yes, if your current bumpers are in nice shape. Every individual kit is going to be slightly different, and thats where the work comes in to fitting it. filling in edges or sanding them down, filling in low spots or sanding down high spots. thats why shops charge by the hour. there are no kits exactly identical. hope this helps.

i work in a body shop in andover and best bet is save money and get it done all at once it will be cheaper in the long run. otherwise you just pain the car+ preping then if you do the kit seperatly at another time you have to prep the car a second time. and overall if you do it all togeither it will come out better.
